    SONNY LISTON.

The original baddest man on the planet.

Tyson would admit that and tell you it himself.

    Even Foreman as well.

I voted Golovkin for one reason: he still has the aura of invincibility. Tyson lost it when he had a bunch of losses.

If you have to weigh the sheer aura of suffocating intimidation brought to the ring, then yeah, Tyson, by a mile. As some have noted, GGG looks too much like Alfred E Neumann to inspire terror.

But here's another carrot into the broth: Golovkin is much tougher mentally than Tyson. He is not going to fall apart the moment the going gets tough. You can see that the mental aspect is a big part of his game.

Tyson of course. The whole spectacle, the out of the ring antics, and, most of all, the absolute ferocity of his offense make this one perfectly clear.

Golovkin does not attack with abandon like the young Tyson used to.

The young fresh still raw pre 90 Tyson was an absolute savage beast of a man/boy, Tyson was beating up big heavyweights much bigger than him when he was a kid, Savage vicious animal like ferocity, Iv'e never seen anything like it since, he attacked his opponents like they had murdered his family and he was given free reign to do with them as he pleased. The evil vicious intent he had was more than i have seen from any fighter EVER, I feel like he lost that extreme desire to fight like that in the early 90's and that's when everything went down hill. Mikes peak/prime was very short lived, I am glad that kid found boxing because without it he would have gone completely and utterly off the rails.

Tyson in the 80s and early 90s was genuinely internationally famous as the personification of violence.

Golovkin is a great boxer who also happens to be catnip for internet fanboys.

    There is no comparison.

Golovkin is a very bad Man...but only in the Ring...have a good friend that has met Him quite a few times at Big Bear....He said you could not meat a nicer person...very approachable Modest and is always helping the Younger and other Fighters...He said it's hard to believe he is such a monster in the Ring.....as for Tyson he was just plain bad...dont think we will see the likes of him again in and outside the ring when he was in His Prime.!!!!
