My sense is you're a pretty young guy, early twenties at the oldest. You couldn't possibly have seen the fighters you're talking about because your predictions are way, way, off. Tyson v. Ali: not sure, anybody's guess. Tyson stops Larry Holmes period. Tyson DESTROYS Norton probably in the first round (Norton could not fight backing up, how could he possible win?). Foreman V. Tyson could not possibly go the distance, absolutely out of the question. I just can't see where you're getting these predictions from. They are comical. But hey, at least you're interested.

Norton can win by NOT backing up.
Everyone is saying Norton gets ko'd quick but I'm not so sure.

I think Norton's stronger than Tyson, and he's bigger. He can push Tyson back. Tyson cant fight backing up either.
It's not as if Norton is in there with Foreman, a big strong rangy clubber. Norton can lean on Tyson and got to work, using that cross-armed hooking, counter-punching style. Norton can box clever and press forward simultaneously. Tyson was never great when crowded and leaned on and pushed back.
Dont underrate Norton's ability to do so.

The Foreman fight is the ONLY Norton fight where I saw him lose because he cant fight backing up.
The Shavers fight he just got caught, on any given day he might have KO'd Shavers quick too. Watch the fight, he's trying to outpunch a puncher, he's not trying to box on the retreat.

Norton has the tools to beat Tyson.

People talk about Norton having a weak chin but he was not wobbled in 39 rounds with Ali, and barely wobbled in 15 with Holmes, whereas George Foreman was KO'd by Ali and dropped by Jimmy Young. Ron Lyle was sent into ***** street by a single right hand from Ali, and KO'd by Lynn Ball.
Joe Frazier was KO'd by Foreman and never fought Shavers.
Yet Norton is called "chinny" because he got stopped by some of the hardest punchers of ALL TIME ?

Sure, Tyson might KO him. Tyson MIGHT KO anyone.
But I would at least give Norton a chance. When you examine the actual evidence this fight cannot be viewed has a foregone conclusion.

    I think a prime Tyson :

Gets TKO'd by Muhammad Ali, in the second half of a 15 rounder.

Loses a close one over 15 rounds against Holmes.

Has a distinct fighting chance against Foreman, but I'd favour Foreman in a match where they both could hit the deck.

If he doesn't KO Shavers in 1 round then he becomes 50-50 of being KO'd himself. (He CAN KO Shavers in 1 but will he?)

Is a favourite against Norton, but I have no idea how he'll deal with Norton's style and strength. This could be a difficult assignment.

Gets outboxed, beaten up and knocked out by Sonny Liston.

    Not this Bull**** again

TYSON DID NOT WIN IN HIS JUST BECAUSE HIS OPPONENTS WHERE SCARED.

Tyson would destroy Lyle and Shavers neither of these fighters had the skill to land consistently on prime Tyson. Aside from power they had little else.

Ali could beat Tyson so might Foreman. 60s to 70s Liston loses .

How does Shavers KO Tyson ?.

I would be suprised If a crude fighter like Shavers landed more then 5 clean punches on Tyson.

People have a habit of forgetting Tysons defense and countering skills.

    Tyson vs

    Ali L15*
    Holmes KO10*
    Norton TKO6
    Shavers KO1
    Foreman KO5
    Frazier TKO4
    Lyle TKO8
    Liston KO7
    Young UD15

    * 50/50 fights

The rest aren't a foregone conclusion, in boxing anything is possible but not probable. Ali and Holmes are the only two I would feel comfortable picking over Tyson. Everyone else gets stopped or they likey cling on and survive a decision loss.

Shavers has a punchers chance against anyone, and he's totally fearless.
I said Tyson might well do him in 1 round, but Shavers only has to land clean once to turn the fight around.
Frank Bruno, Tony Tucker, Jose Ribalta, James Tillis landed punches on Tyson. Even Bonecrusher Smith - who spent the whole fight holding - landed and shook Tyson when he eventually dared to.
****, even Steve Zouski landed shots.

BTW, I think Tyson had great defensive skills, but in the boxing game you ARE going to catch a few, and with a guy like Shavers who's gonna be fearlessly throwing leather there's a big chance you'll get hammered with one or two.
If Shavers can survive the initial onslaught he's gonna come out BADASS in the 2nd, Tyson never fought anyone as powerful and fearless IMO.

The delusional Tyson fans are right about one thing.

He had a verry short period when he was totaly focused and in that period I would shudder to put anybody against him.

I picture myself as the manager of Liston, Ali, Frazier or Foreman and I dont underestimate the task in front of me.

Nobody beats a top 10 heavyweight like Frazier quite easily but Frazier would have a mountain to climb stylisticaly.

Powerful and Fearless means nothing if you dont have the skills to deliver your punches a crude guy like shavers is never going to land consistently on Tyson to hurt him. Ruddock was powerful and fearless he received two beatings for his troubles.

And Tyson has a good enough chin to take the few punches that might land .

Tyson does not get discouraged if you land on him he gets discouraged if you can prevent HIM from landing on you.

Shavers gets Ko'd early or he he goes the distance and takes a beating while doing so reminiscent of the Ruddock fights.

A crude guy like Shavers with only power to rely on is not going to beat prime Tyson.

    I forgot to mention Frazier.

look Brainy....Tyson was very good against good competition...Not against GREAT...ATG"S are undefeated vs Tyson! (Unless you are celebrating an Old Holmes!

    Ali over tyson
Foreman...Liston..and prime Holmes are they out of the question even for a diehard hugger???? Frazier IMO destroys him more so than Holy did...I know I know tyson was not in his prime (which I guess lasted for a week and a half???)...So where is the tragic under rating...I think he is better than R. Lyle...but go with Lyle on a head to head...i don't see tyson taking him out...and am picking a tired tyson to go down...where is the injustice???? Which ATG performance of Tyson indicates that he would beat one of the 4 (Ali/Liston/Foreman/Frazier)????
