What is wrong with the dreadlocks guy? :-( I don't expect every ref to be like Big Joe McCarthy, but come on. They cut away to close-ups of the fighters returning to their corners and I didn't even hear him say "let's go" or "okay, fight!" or anything. I glanced away for a second and when I looked back the clock had started and they were advancing toward each other. :twisted:
Is it just me or is there some nervous energy from Machida? I know he's always "elusive" but the shots Shogun landed seem to have really put a bug in his ear...
I'll need to watch the 1st again. I think people (including Rogan) may be forking it over to Shogun just because he did better than expected. It was pretty close, when you take the knees and flush headkick from Machida in the first couple of minutes into account... Shogun may have ultimately won it regardless, but there was good work from both. He's definitely winning round 2.
