He had about 45 seconds of competitiveness total. That's not a good showing.

 

Silva was very much in the fight the first 2 rounds. That was a good showing against what is probably one of the top 5 welterweights ever, especially since Fitch is still fighting near his peak.

 

And that's a mild one - usually it's "That's a wrap folks!" or "It's over!". Followed by the fighter surviving the rest of the fight.

I thought he would get dominated worse than he did. At least he came close to a submission and reversed several holds by Fitch.

 

Don't think I have ever seen anybody take that much punishment before...
