Against manufactured Don King fighter John Ruiz who didn't even win the belt legitimately.

Roy Jones started as a middle 160 lbs. At the time John Ruiz was still easily a top 10 heavy. Imagine GSP going up to heavy and beating someone like Matt Mitrione ? Yeah of course not.

Toney was able to replicate the feat which shows it wasn't really that special.. Ruiz sucked. He couldn't beat top fighters with any real consistency without faking low blows, gift decisions etc. If there was someone as pathetic as Ruiz with a title at LHW-HW it wouldn't be remotely shocking to see a former 170-185 pounder give them the business.

GSP went up to fight the reigning champion, how can you **** on that yet credit Jones for beating Ruiz?

C'mon it was Bisping. Bisping would have been underdog against anyone in the top 7 or so had he actually defended against them. You know it. GSP won't defend that title against a top contender. You know that too.

GSP went up 15 pounds to fight Bisping a top 7 or so middle (yes Bisping was the "champ" but be realistic he was not close to being the best middleweight), Roy Jones went up and fought a 240 lb top 10 heavy. Huge difference.

GSP came out of a 4 year retirement, Jones did it in the prime of his career so yes there is a huge difference.

GSP moves up 15 pounds against the reigning champ after a 4 year retirement.

Jones moves up 25 pounds against a title holder during his prime.

It's is clear which one has the most significance.

Did you pick GSP to stop Bisping or did you instead laugh at those who did?

Do you agree that GSP will not defend that 185 title against a worthy top contender ?

There is only one worthy contender, Whittaker.

Do I think GSP will fight him next, I think it more likely that GSP vacates with his injury and Whittaker fights Weidman for the vacant title.

Looks like Whitaker vs Rockhold is going to be the main event not sure if it means GSP is giving up title just now or just for interim belt. The talk is he wont be defending the belt tho

Cowboy Cerrone vs Mairbek Taisumov confirmed for the undercard good fight, I favour Taisumov might be worth going if Whitaker is headlining and couple more good fights never been to Perth.

FFS. What did GSP do when Anderson was middleweight Champ and willing to drain himself to fight GSP?

Now that GSP has achieved his goal by getting a once in a lifetime opportunity to fight a Serra-esque opponent, do you really think he wants anything to do with the likes of Rockhold or Romero?

He was fine when fought Bisping. Now all of a sudden he's developed colitis

Well done GSP. You beat the weakest middleweight Champ in the last decade. Now do the honourable thing and either fight Bobby or vacate

God know MMA doesnt need another GGG - Cotto/Canelo

That Whittaker had to go through both Jacare and Romero to become "interim", and GSP had to fight Michael Bisping to become the real Champ is ****ing disgusting

Thats quite clearly what's going to happen. As I said, it's more likely he vacates imo.
