I've nothing against O'Malley he fought really well and proved himself but the general consensus is heavily in favour of Yan winning and it being a huge robbery

O'Malley impressed me, and Yan fought poorly imo, maybe I overrated him... but even with the effect of Sean doing better than I thought he would, seemed like a fairly obvious win for Yan, imo. Was watching with a group and not even the O'Malley fan thought he won.

    I feel bad for Yan.

O'Malley's stock went way up even in what is widely considered an unofficial defeat

I agree. His stock went up, and for me at least, Yans went down.

Omalley impressed me by making it genuinely competitive, but for me Yan blew it in there. I think I might have overrated him a bit.

I thought he would be applying more pressure, and either fighting in close and pushing the action on Omalley, or being out of range. Instead he spent way way too much time just standing right in Omalleys best range, getting hit with the same punches over and over.

Obviously hindsight is 20/20, and maybe he felt comfortably in control until the cut, idk... but really think he should have upped the intensity of his pressure.

To be fair, O'Malley looks huge for the weight and he has a very big long frame with a long reach and is much bigger than Yan and he is talented striker who hits hard and takes a good shot too

I agree he needed to up the intensity and pressure though

For me, that Omalley is so rangey makes Yans gameplan even worse though. When you have a taller rangier striker, in my opinion you either want to be fighting them on the inside with pressure, where the less rangier fighter takes some of the advantage away from the taller rangier fighter, or if not fighting inside, staying completely out of range. What Yan was doing oftentimes was repeatedly fighting the rangier fighter at his (Omalleys) preferred and optimal range.

    Just my .02 though lol.

He was and you do but maybe he felt the power and it made him a little more wary than usual. They should be ordered to fight an immediate rematch though
