I think that was more of a calculated decision. He wanted to ease his way into the fight after a long layoff and not get knocked out being reckless. Edwards robbed himself of a possible stoppage win by trying to prove some dumb point.
If it wasn't for Colby's outburst I never would have ordered this seemingly exciting card that failed to deliver.
Err Leon clearly won, Colby looked slow in there. Colby is the idiot for sitting out for so long, Leon has just wrecked the two best in the division, now saying he can beat GSP's record is a little silly, despite that respect is due to Leon for focussing and getting the win.
It's a decent victory for Edwards. Not much happen during the fight outside the last couple rounds. Edwards was just a bit better on striking and Covington didn't take the fight to the ground enough. I think he had quite a bit of rust and wasn't confident in his cardio or striking early on. That's what happens when you're out of the cage for 2 years.
Sean Strickland is a clown and I guarantee people will tire of his shtick within a year, just as they grew out of Adesanya
