I dont see how he manhandles him. Rich has much MUCH better standup he will put on a clinic for the most part if he can take Hendersons power shots which of course are very strong and Richs chin isnt any special. Hendo should be able to get takedowns but Rich from what ive seen has better BJJ skills then Henderson and Hendo has never been a top level GNP guy. Its a tough fight I wish it wasnt happening since they are my 2nd and 3rd favorite fighters and I really dont no which is 2 or 3. Watching this fight will be awkward for me.
It won't be A.Silva style. That's just brutal. I'm talking about him basically controlling the whole fight. Either scoring a TKO or lopsided UD.
You sure? Poor Coleman, he'll look deflated cutting from 240+ with so little fat. Kinda hard to believe, but i dont feel like double checking.
http://www.mmaweekly.com/absolutenm/templates/dailynews.asp?articleid=7242&zoneid=13 Yeah. I know he's around 225 nowadays, but I can't help but think he'll be hella drained.
He's not a nturally big man like Lesnar, for example. He was always on massive amounts of juice at 240 +. 205 will suite him fine, and should improve his stamina (well, he might be about 20 years too old, but you know...)
Chuck Liddell has stated in his biography that his father was an immigrant from Ireland. I'm sure he will want to be on this card.
It was a legit win, Shogun posted his arm out during takedowns at least 2 times, you can't post one arm when Coleman is taking you down. Coleman went from a double to an ankle pick in an instant, this made shogun elivate and post his arm, breaking it. Shogun was lucky he didn't break it the first time he posted it, and he was heavier than Coleman that fight.
He fell on his elbow, he didn't post it out. Coleman went for takedown and got it, shogun turned around mid air(with feed tied down) flopping down on his stomach and elbows breaking one of them. It wasn't bad fall per se, its not like he fell wrong way, just bad luck.
Except thats not what happened. He was falling forwards and posts his elbows out so not to fall on his face... atsch
Shogun was being taken down from behind, fell forward and posted his arm out - incorrectly - to break his fall. That's not how one executes a forward breakfall - as should be painfully evident by the way his elbow broke.
He definatly posted his arm out to break his fall twice, once while trying a triangle, the other he just stuck his arm out to break his fall. You can't do that against a good wrestler/judo player, you will eventually break something. It was unlucky in that it isn't always going to happen, but it is legit because if you post your arm out like against a great wrestler, your arm will break sooner or later. Flukey, but if Shogun doesn't make a bad mistake it doesn't happen.
