This is the second time he acted like "less then a badass", don't wanna call anyone who steps in the cage a *****. He bowed out of the fight on the tv show when many people thought he should have continued.
Was Starnes injured? And why didnt his corner say something? They seemed to be happy to go along with the whole chirade. The entire 3 rounds was literally a track meet with Starnes refusing to get involved at all by all costs.
I agree with everything he said about Dana White, but if he couldn't fight because of an injury then what did he gain by running like that? His foot didn't look broken when he was backing up and running all the time, and he seemed to look a lot weaker than he used to, especially next to Quarry. I always like Starnes and his fights with Belcher and Leben were good hard fights. It seems like he just totally ****ed this up for himself. But once again, everything he says about White is 100% right.
Jeez I missed the Starnes vs Quarry fight, well most of it. I saw the first 30 secs and thought it looked poor so went to make a cup of tea. Was it that bad? I kinda liked the guy and he was decent lower card fodder. I guess they like to keep the fighters ticking over if they are not going to go anywhere.
It was awful. Starnes just basically ran for the entire fight. I really couldn't figure out what his M.O was but he certainly didn't look like he had a broken foot as he was quite spritely on his feet.
If Starnes had a broken foot, he should enter the Olympics because he was still posting record sprint times.
Good, because he is ****ing awful. Hopefully this is the start of cutting the rest of the shite from TUF like Herman et al. Im sick of it.
I agree. Dana White is probably a huge ****in ***** that underpays all his fighters but that doesn't excuse his actions. It just seems like he doesn't want to fight. If he had a broken foot he wouldn't have been running all over the place like that. It just seems he was scared of Quarry's power... point blank. He's talking about his leg being hurt, his jaw, black eye and so on. That he doesn't have to prove anything to anyone by fighting a guy with 80 percent KO power like Quarry, and so on. This seems to be a common theme throughout his fights. I remember leading up to that season of TUF there was a lot of hype for him on sherdog and he was said to have an excellent ground game and a good head on his shoulders. That might be true but it just seems like he doesn't want to fight (or make the sacrifices needed in the fight game). I can't blame him because I wouldn't want to be doing all that **** either, but it sounds like he should find another career.
That's what I thought. Everything he said about Dana was hilarious, but if he didn't want to potentially get his brain smashed in, he should never have gotten in the cage in the first place.
then Dana will make him look bad twice..by him not showing up and Dana pretending to wait all ready and ****
