It makes lots of sense. Where do you think it’s came from? Clearly the AJ camp leaking crazy figures to the press to force eddies hand in to the best deal possible. For the first time in history Eddie could be the one getting shafted for once.
I don't see how UFC can get a return on that. He won't be a break out US PPV star due to the lack of us ppv heavyweight depth.
But would your full contract be fulfilled of a new ejtrsmtbto the market or if they struggle to pay the money as not bringing in enough would they just fold the company ?
I'm telling you all right now people will laugh at this in a few years time and the UFC will thank GOD femi turned it down.
He looked rattled/worried in the ifl video where it’s discussed. Certainly not his usual self. Sounds like a crazy figure, £35m per fight for 10 fights! What happens if he loses the 4th & 5th fight? Where’s the marketability of the next five? Also what must Wilder think! Are his career earnings up to £35m yet?!
There is no way Dana white is offering that. It makes it no financial sense at all. Floyd's showtime deal was $200 million guarantee for 6 fights. That was on the back of showtime knowing Floyd guaranteed huge ppv buys in America at $70 a pop. What Hearn said about Joshua's deal with matchroom was interesting. AJ owns the show and matchroom just take 20%. I don't think anyone else is prepared to offer the same.
If Joshua really wants to become a Boxing 'Billionare'.United States is the Market he NEEDS to crack.Dana White will certainly help... If i was AJ getting that sort of money offered you should take it with open arms.Take the best of both, let Hearn and Matchroom still promote you in the UK so you can still get the Sky Box Office Money. But in the US,Dana White and his contacts could make AJ into another level
What does every UFC fighter think after seeing them figures. Don't think there top guys will be happy with there pay cheques.
Im sure this will leave an incredibly bitter taste in every UFC fighters mouth, considering how much Dana and the brothers would fleece their fighters.
Agreed. I love MMA and those guys do not get paid nearly enough. Especially since the horrible Reebok deal. A union needs to happen.
Something something obligatory comment about Wilder wanting 50/50. This sounds like hot air though, at least for now. An offer that eye watering would alienate an awful lot of their current fighters and would be pretty myopic.
