Frank's cards on BT sports only tonight, as I'm an EE customer I'm quite tempted to take up the offer of free 3 months of BT sports. If it's anything like Amazon prime I can cancel at any time without paying but I read it's only £10 a month after for mobile device so might do that.

    Tin foil hat? o_O

Really? shall we go through the long list of Matchroom scorecards from awful to outrageous? How long have you got?

Look, it wasn't an outrageous prediction or even assumption to say the Matchroom/Sky/Home fighter would get a suspect decision, it happens often.

Are you going to tell me it never happens?

We are having a woman's fight next week, a rematch with Taylor Vs Persoon, Why? I'll tell you why,

Because a Matchroom fighter on a Matchroom card lost, and she did lose, was nearly stopped in the last round, even her biggest creepy Stalker old Adam Smith said Taylor lost and was lucky to get a decision.

Even the rest Team Sky couldn't lie that much on the night and had to admit Taylor lost and was very lucky... so there you go, so was it an outrageous assumption to assume that again?

Just because that didn't happen doesn't mean the concern or thought pre fight wasn't credible or without merit.

Joe Gallagher was making the same points last week about Jonas and how Sky favour their (Matchroom) fighters and so do judges and he is a professional trainer, is he a tin foil hat wearer? Maybe he is, it is Joe Gallagher after all, but you get my point.

It was a very close fight last night, maybe if some people stopped listening to the likes of Matt Macklin on Commentary who ignored virtually all of Balls work and just scored what actually landed and what they actually saw we wouldnt get such bitter clueless posts and reactions.. it happens with lots of other fights too.

At one point Courtenay was hit 3 consecutive times with decent shots and Macklin said "Great head movement by Courtenay".. absolutely embarrassing, that's what happens on Sky shows, that's what I expect, that what we as boxing fans have been conditioned to just accept.

Twitter was full last night with criticism for the way Sky commentated on that fight.

Ball got a decision in a close fight, she dropped Courtenay heavily in the opener and managed to scrape a win as the away fighter against a Matchroom fighter that has been heavily hyped and promoted.

It rarely happens when a fight is that close and that's why it's been a little bit of a surprise for people, they just expect a close fight to go to the hyped up home fighter and they sit there scoring accordingly, they watch a close round and then give it to the Matchroom fighter, I've done it myself.

Ball won me a lot of money last night, I'm very happy, but I'm not going to lie, at the final bell even I thought they would give it to Courtenay, but they didn't and the crap I've seen about "robbery" has been hilarious.

Close fight? Yes, Argument for both fighters? Yes.. Robbery? ABSOLUTELY NOT, unless you're a Matchroom and Courtenay nut sucker.

Hearn scored it a draw last night, Courtenay is his fighter, a Matchroom fighter, so if Hearns scoring it a draw then it certainly wasn't a "Robbery" and if Hearn is scoring it a draw that suggests to me Ball did enough.

Anthony "I just to be left alone" Bellew, who by the way I've seen more of now he has retired, is the biggest Matchroom/Sky Nut Sucker of them all.

Did you know Eddie Hearn isn't 6"5, he is actually a little person, Bellew has rammed his head up Hearns backside so hard that Hearn is stuck and has been sitting on Bellews shoulders for years.

Exactly the same nonsense from the commentators in the first fight - the young Scottish lad was getting no mention or praise anytime he frequently landed with every odd success of the opponent deemed a Hayemaker

It's the same with the infamous 'British stoppage'. The excuse is that the refs are just looking out for the safety fighters, but we all know when it's the other way round the house fighters will never get stopped like that. Terry O'Connor jumping in and carrying a semi-conscious Nathan Cleverly back to his corner at the end of the third against Kovolev immediately springs to mind.

Judges and refs, with all the perks they get from working with the big promoters, know which side their bread is buttered and so act accordingly. Then some cases are so blatant and obvious that there is no explanation other than straight up corruption.

Matchroom were hyping Ball not Courtney, it's obvious Shannon is out of favour at Matchroom as she had been recieving a lot of negative comments on social media. Ball's pre fight interview gave it away that she had been promised big things from Eddie, she looks good and talks well and it's obvious they want to invest in her. I scored the fight 76-75 for Shannon with a draw also being a fair result but felt she was thrown under the bus last night by Eddie and purposely put in a difficult fight.

At the end of the day Eddie's only the promoter pow, match making down to her manager.

She definitely needs to fight on the front foot, she's far more effective there. She was lucky to win 2 fights prior to the ball fight I think it was, remember she was getting backed up and lucky to win that fight.

She did well last night but needs to trust her corner, she was panicking if she won the round or not after every round. Inexperience I guess but Ball had also never had that pressure in the build up either, being under the cameras and going from underdog to pre-fight favourite.

Let's not forget that Shannon didn't even make the original weight either.

I thought she fought very well considering the height and reach she gave away to Ball. She was pressuring Ball from rounds 2 to 6 and pushing her back, she even rocked her at one point and smashed in her eye socket.

I think you will find Eddie and his matchmaker choose the fights, the manager can refuse but they might find themselves out of favour the next time. I can assure you Hearn is calling the shots and they do what they are told, they hold no power with Hearn as she is a prospect, he is pretty much bankrolling her at this stage.

Agreed. It was 76-75 to Ball right? Macklin’s card wasn’t exactly the same but the other way around. So basically a round’s difference. One single round being scored differently does not constitute a robbery in the least bit. I had it 4 rounds each myself, the KD being the difference.

Was overjoyed that Ball got the nod (and surprised, in truth). A great little story for someone working in the front line beating a money backed hype job

I thought Friday’s card was going to suck but it was actually pretty good. The main event was a bit crap but aside from that I enjoyed every other fight. Barrett-Donovan had a bit of everything. I hadn’t seen Donovan box before, he put on a solid performance for the most part

It's been going since Moses wore shorts. Don't expect it to change any time soon.
