It so weird, not clear or a complete lack of transparency from both sides.

I believe the talk was that the difference between Tyson's and Hughies situation was that Tyson refused a drugs test on one or more times. Refusal to take random drug tests alone is a 4 year ban I believe.

Could his decision to refuse to take a test be attributed to his mental illness? I’m talking legally here by the way. And if this could be proven then surely they can’t impose the same length of ban? If he had committed a crime, in a British court his state of mind/circumstances at the time of the crime would have to be considered and the charges downgraded somewhat.

I don’t know the answers, i’m just throwing it out there.

Yeah, I don't know it's a good point. There was a guy on YouTube that did some digging into it and put up a video a month or so about the whole situation... I'll try and find it and post it.

It was also saying that the coke and the refusal to do testing were outside of competition times, because he hadn't signed for the fight at the time and that would play a part but I don't know 100%.

UKAD havent got a clue have they? the fighters team trying to muddy the waters you can always expect, but for the actual governing body to be even less transparent, and reacting to internet videos with still unclear statements points to them being totally corrupt or totally incompetent. i suspect its probably a combination of both.

Karma coming home for Fury here.

Hopefully if found guilty, he is banned for life.

He refused test when he was unlicensed so they had no right trying to take one.

Requesting the exclusion of some evidence isn't such a big deal.
That's not particularly unusual for a defence team in any case.

    It shouldn't take so long.
UKAD's and the NADP are coming across as weekend amateurs.

The Furys are clearly amateurs too, that's how come they got caught.

He refused the test days after pulling out of the Klitschko fight. I don't think he was stripped of his licence until later in the year.

Yeah UKAD aren't great. But the delay is obviously more down to Team Fury trying to play by their own rules as always. If they just towed the line this once I'm sure the whole thing would be done and dusted by now.

One of these days you will check your facts instead of spouting total rubbish and demonstrating to us your single figure I.Q.

As I stated since the VERY early days, all this delay is down to the Furys and their legal team.

That said, if Hughie hasn't been cleared from his drug charges, then there should be NO WAY he should be allowed to box for a World title on Saturday night. THAT is a disgrace.

No, it's impossible to "play by their own rules". The rules are all UKAD and NADP.
I understand what you're saying but it's just as likely that UKAD are amateurs who aren't used to have organized defence against them, and the NADP are clueless too.
If "anti doping" wants to project itself as a professional legal court or something of that nature it should be able to cope quickly with whatever machinations a defence brings.

The blame can't be thrown back on the defence team. An accused party can't be punished for defending themselves. It's not up to the accused to "tow the line" with their accusers. That would be a terrible system for justice.

The people who decide need to make decisions.
