He got a gift draw against Rosendo Alvarez in the 1st fight. Not exactly unbeatable at the weight.

    okay let's have some fun.

Trinidad at 140. in his first fight he came in at 138, weighed between 140-144 in his next 14 fights. Boxing fans know early in his career(before HBO) he had a long 1-2 with good movement. Plus the power, 5'11 hard to beat at this weight.

Evander Holyfield at Cruiser. not much really needed to be said.

I think Chavez best weight was 135 only Duran would have beat him at LW.

    Hearns at JM
    SRL at Welter after Montreal
    Robinson at Welter
    Mark Johnson at 112
Ricardo Lopez at 106 although Rosendo came close
If Barrera would have stood at 118. He couldnt get no title shots at JB or Bantam where he would have been a beast so he moved up.
    Roy Jones at 160,168
    Michael Spinks 175
    Evander Holyfield cruiser
    Gomez at Junior Feather :huh
    Floyd at JL
    Sanchez at Feather

and Lopez beat him in the rematch, despite Alvarez coming in weighing more than he should have.

If it had been a 15 rd fight, i sincerly believe Taylor would have died. ****, in those 5 seconds left, one big bomb from a desperate Chavez could have put Taylor in a coma, or even kill him.
