    Ali didn't sit down on his punches but when he did, they had an effect. The man could punch.

    Also it was late in the fight where Bonavena could have just started to fatigue.

    I believe that particular shot would have knocked out most fighters. Williams had a good chin but he simply didn't see it coming.

    I can’t think of the opponent now, but Sweet Pea ko’ing that guy with one punch when he needed to
    Edit - Hurtado, and it wasn’t a one punch ko

    This. Bonavena was tough as nails, but Ali’s work to the body throughout the rounds softened Bonavena up, since by the 15th round Bonavena was all out of gas and then Ali put him down with a very sneaky left.

    It wasn't, but it was a good example! There is another Whitaker one though - his one punch KO of Juan Nazario seemed to catch even Whitaker by surprise by the look on his face after he landed it.
