Interesting matchup. Does Ingo land that big right hand early? It's a dangerous fight for the first 5 rounds but after that Spinks controls it. Ingo is dangerous, but let's not overstate the Tyson fight (Spinks was past his best, over his best weight, and had a wrapped knee). I'd say Spinks 60/40 at least, actually probably 70/30.
I'm having trouble getting to all of these, Suze. :? I have similar sentiments about too much being placed on the Tyson fight. Plus, it was Tyson. I'd go into around 60/40 too, I guess. Yes, dangerous, yes he might be on shaky ground with a really big HW puncher, but I'll go with Spinks.
Spinks handled Cooney, but Cooney had a sharp, fast, roller-coaster like decline. Still... Cooney could punch. I think a big right would be more dangerous for Spinks than a left hook would be, though. Just a matchup that evokes that age old adage that "anything can happen in boxing."
You know, at the moment, I honestly don't remember Cooney really landing anything to talk about on Spinks, now that you mention it.
Ingo looks a plodder at the start, and Spinks is get more adventurous by the minute, then the Swede launches his right and it's over.
