Well, my gut feeling tends to agree with you on Ustinov. He seems to be ready to take on a bigger name. Vidoz? Platov? Nah! Too huge a step IMO. Sherman Williams,Cengiz Coc, and Albert Sosnowski come to my mind. Kevin McBride would also be a good foe for Ustinov's next outing to a ring. Yep! Solis is too fat.No doubt about this! I quite disagree with you on him though. He would take a huge risk in facing either Bidenko and Maskaev in his next fight. He for sure would be the underdog against either fighter.Anyway! There is no need to rush him into big fights. He is much younger than Ustinov so that he isnt in a race against time.

Why should he be the underdog against an 39 years old guy who lost vs Peter? i agree that Maskaev is a dangerous puncher but Solis would beat him Solis is faster has the better chin and better stamina. Why should Solis be the underdog against someone like Bidenko ? Bidenko's only win vs a good opponent was against Sprott Did you saw Solis's fight with Haye at the amateurs ? Why don't rush him into the big fights he was a great amateur and beside some of the guys in the top 10 he is ready for everyone. I think if Solis gets in better shape he could fight for the Title at the end of 2009.
Why? Because Solis looked extremely mediocre in his last outings to a box ring,kk1. He had a death and life struggle with a very limited journeyman who was knocked out by Ustinov in the very first round of their encounter. He showed a quite lame performance against another journeyman who wouldnt have lasted more than 3 rounds with Maskaev. Solis is ready for everyone!! Nah! I for one really think that a fight against Bidenko or Maskaev could really go either way at this stage of the young Cuban's career. You have called Long a bum,kk1,but it doesnt made you think that Solis had a very close fight with him,eh? Solis is a great talent.Thats for sure! Nevertheless,at this point of his pro career he is just not ready to duke it out with Maskaev or a win a chess game against Bidenko IMO.
