No problem with them trying to push foreign fighters, infact we need more of it imo. UK fans try to claim its the home of boxing now but are only interested in UK fighters.

    That needs to change

I agree but the financial dynamics are different in UK market to say the US market were often the bigger stars commercially are not American. In America boxing is commercially driven by tv revenue whilst outside massive ppvs it's ticket revenue driven in UK. So for that model to work you need the casuals to get behind such fighters and pay to watch them in the arenas whilst in reality not many casuals go to watch boxing in UK outwidth stadium fights.

****ing joke of a show, more the fool the fans for buying tickets for Yarde who just wont fight Buglioni, DD who is being made out the next best thing, well let him fight someone who might consider punching back, Skeete has a ranking on 2 or 3 please this is just so wrong

This card has been cancelled as Dubois is ill.

    Haha!

It’s actually cancelled too, not rearranged.

It’s probably down to ticket sales. I don’t think they sold many at all and with the Matchroom show selling more than the copperbox holds it’s embarrassing.

A new date of 24th February at York Hall has been announced. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Yarde headline that with Dubois as a co headliner to be honest. That’s about their level for arenas at the minute.

In the statement it also highlights a failure to get Bradley Skeete a world level opponent as a reason to cancel and obviously the loss of Tete.

Dubois was 3rd on the card. It’s like Reece Belloti getting ill now so Eddie pulls the British beef card.

    How big is York Hall?
I think it's far more prestigious to headline York Hall than Madison square garden or the O2 arena!

An alternative unwatchables bill brought to you by Scyson.

suggestions for who the fighters who were supposed to be on the card could have fought instead to make it a watchable event.

    Bradley Skeete - Andre Berto
Number 23 vs 15 in the world. Berto has been in with Mayweather so there’s an easy selling point and he’s coming off a brutal loss to Porter and he’s probably finished at the top level now (if he was ever there). He’s definitely beatable and if you want world titles you should be walking over people like him.

    Yarde - Boessol
Beat attempted opponent Averlant over 12 rounds. Only lost to Murat so he’s durable and at the same time he’s not too dangerous with a 37% KO ratio. Ranked 6 with IBF and WBO.

    Dubois - Cornish
Dubois is ranked 12th in Britain, Cornish 11th. So progression here. Again he’s not too dangerous. Only 46% KO ratio for a heavyweight. He’s also faced AJ so Frank can build up the fight on the back of that just like the Darch one. But saying that AJ got him out in 90 seconds so maybe they don’t want to be outdone by him?

1200. He might have to go smaller than that to be honest. He had only sold 650 tickets for the copperbox.

Best decision Frank has made in years bottling this show. He would been made a laughing stock.

York hall is the correct size venue for these fights.

Skeete needs to get himself over to Eddies where he can feast on Matchroom fighters. There are loads of good fights/fighters for him at welter but lets face it Frank is too tight to pay anyone to come over. He'd rather get Hungarians over for a couple of grand with shifty records.

If Frankie Gavin wins that IBO belt (LOL) Skeete should push Frank to get the cheque book out for the rematch. Battle of Britain at the Copperbox!
