I am looking forward to this... You guys think Alexander is as slick as Berto is? Can Urango catch him?

Both look to be in quality condition. It's always amazing to see Urango and wonder how he makes 140. The guy is built like a little brick shithouse.

Alexander is probably as slick as Berto and he's also a hell of alot more unorthodox so Urango just might get hurt in this one.

Also, Urango has a solid right hook which seems like it would be a good weapon against southpaws.

I'm expecting fireworks if there isn't too much clinching.

Nice pictures. I wouldn't say Berto was very slick, he was simply the bigger, stronger, faster man at WW and used some grabbing tactics. Alexander should be much slicker, and he has to be, Urango will be the stronger fighter in there.

It's a superb fight and a big risk for Alexander at this stage of his career. But I think he'll do just fine and win on points. But Urango will never stop trying, which makes this very interesting.

I think the left hook is much more effective against lefites than the right hook. Left hook, straight right. I think those are the two most effective weapons against lefties. The way lefties stand, they should be able to a right hook coming easier than a left. Urango is a righty who boxes lefty. He doesn't have a left hook, and of course has no straight right.

He doesn't seem to have a good understanding of how to defend himself, and doesn't use many angles or have the great of footwork. I wouldn't say he was slick either. You're right, he just ran and held the whole night.

I think the southpaw right hook is very effective against other southpaws. Urango's right hook is short, fast and compact and Alexander being a southpaw is right there for it if he stays too close.

I thought Berto fought the perfect gameplan against Urango. If I was his coach, that's exactly how I would have wanted him to fight. Box and hold. Use your speed on the outside and your weight on the inside.

That would be true if you're an othrodox fighter, but Urango is a lefty. So hence the order would be backwards. Right hook, straight left.

Not much of a left hand, but the right hook is there. Right hook to the body is most effective against lefties from the southpaw stance.
