Dangerous fight in what regard ? Dubois has already been beaten decisively by Joyce. And in Dubois's last fight he was down 3 times against a nobody, and needed a very dubious stoppage to get the win. I don't see it as a dangerous fight at all, I see it as a novice kinda fragile Heavyweight who's well out of his depth against a veteran P4P fighter.
Eh this is a stretch. Dubois eyes was closed and swelled by a lot. He lost that fight, no excuse, but he didn't receive some big time beating, like the actual beating Joyce took from Zhang. Dubois actually landed a lot of bombs(not that its very hard) on Joyce, and going in the 10th round, Dubois was actually ahead in the cards of 2 of the judges. One had him 1 point ahead, while the other had him 5 points ahead. Also Usyk is close to 37, and being past his prime in my mind for quite some time. Dubois is decent opponent for everyone out there. It's also not Usyk fault that Dubois is the mandatory.
Because Usyk struggled against Chisora. Dubois, who is a better and younger version of Chisora, is likely to KO aging Usyk.
Not really Chisora is a durable slugger who was willing to walkthrough anything Usyk threw at him. Dubois certainly won't take that same approach, and will be outclassed and possibly stopped in the later rounds.
More to the point, Joyce barely had to use any variety or get out of first gear - just jab, jab, jab and Dubois practically walked onto them. And Joyce is hardly evasive, it's pretty routine for him to take a few big hits - his chin often bails him out, but it has to because he's so easy to hit. Usyk throwing angles, changing up the pace and with his far better defence could easily make this a clown show... Dubois is a prospect with few decent wins and shouldn't be anywhere near as highly ranked as he is.
You don't need to explain to me what Joyce is, and that he ain't hard to hit, i'm not blind, and i already mention that in my first comment, so explain me what was the point, to trying to correct me on something i already have said? I'm also not arguing that Usyk is likely 100x class above Dubois in every aspect. But age is a huge factor, and this is young's man game. And at that advance age you can get old overnight, this is just facts. And Dubois with all of his flaws, have very solid power, and it's not a slow fighter. And we are talking about HW, and just about anything can happen in HW. Still i don't see how your comment change my point even slightly ? Everything i said was factual.
Not every reply is an argument... Sometimes a post is a reinforcement and/or continuation of what someone else has said. I don't disagree that Dubois has a punchers chance, but as far as I'm concerned (and I think you too) that's about all he's got here - unless Usyk is aged out and/or unlucky, this should be a formality IMHO.
I think that this is an interesting fight. Id much rather watch this than anything involving Tyson Fury to be honest or maybe an AJ Fury fight would be more interesting but that's it. This is a fight that answers questions. This is a fight that can go either way. Wilder vs AJ also sounds more interesting than this but this is really a top quality heavyweight bout. As for Dubois chances of winning. They are greater than Rahman beating Lewis. And alot greater than Usyk beating Fury.
Such posts are really funny. And what should have Usyk team have done exactly??? Gets stripped?? Cause he would have lost the title if not facing his mandatory.
