Fury’s performance against Usyk last time out was his best performance since Wilder 2 (2020) and Klitschko (2015) and it wasn’t enough, in fact he was lucky not to be stopped. For him to pull out an even better performance this late in his career will take some doing. We don’t know the toll that last fight took on either man but what we do know is that Usyk is supremely confident off the back of his win and that he doesn’t know how to lose as a professional. No result on the 21st would really shock me but I just hope I’m not sitting here screaming robbery because of the financial clout of a trilogy match.
I think Dubois, Bakole and Zhang would be favorites at this point. I would also give 50/50 chances to Kabayel and Parker.
Parker doesn't have a hope against Fury, nor does Kabayel. Zhang, if he had stamina, most certainly would stand a good chance. Dubois and Bakole would definitely be favourites.
How about AJ? A lot of people, after Fury looked terrible against Ngannou and AJ knocked him out, picked AJ to beat Fury.
A medium fart would knock over Joshua He even refused to activate his own rematch clause with Dubois Chicken Joshua only after shot Helenius types these days.
ENGARNOO put Fury down. Zhang plonkers him. I see Fury maybe beating Kabayel but even then it's still 50-50.
The MMA guy? I don't think Fury trained for the Engarnoo match. He'd be training properly for Zhang who'd run out of puff after five rounds.
Dubois while is probably the best of a bad bunch got stopped by a jab by Usyk would maybe give Fury a few problems for a few rounds but is a basic hands up 1 - 2 kind of guy (Fury eats these type of guys for breakfast). Zhang is 40+ with stamina Issues has zero chance, Bakole is 20+ stone who also has quit in him and Parker would never fight Fury. Fury may well be finished though we will soon find out, but lets face it he lost a SD to Usyk that hardly scream finished.
Fury is past it and Bakole would obliterate him as would Dubois. You are stuck in the past, it seems, from reading that.
I don't get why people are completely overlooking what went on in fight week for fury. Ignore the whole overtrained, too light and off his meds for too long and instead just look at fight week when it was obvious to everyone something wasn't right. Everything from the open session to the face off to the weigh in tyson wasn't himself and we now know it's because Paris had lost the baby (which he wasn't told) and was no longer travelling out with her making numerous excuses as to why she couldn't. It doesn't half mess with your head and focus when you know something isn't right but no one will tell you what it is. I'm not saying fury wins (I'm backing uysk on points again in a close fight) but I'm sure we see a bigger, stronger and more focused/positive fighter this time round.
So Fury was off despite not knowing? Mystic Fury. He looked off because he knew Usyk was going to take him to school. Expect the same next week.
