It wasn't low blow either. Even Hall of famer Timothy Bradley said it and he knows boxing better than anyone here.
Usyk fought a good but cautious first half, and then as usual, stepped it up and took Dubois into the deep waters. He definitely has some pop in his punches when he plants his feet a bit. Impressive overall. I hope he fights Hrgovic in November (unlikely, I know), so that he's fully free and focused on duckson fury for early next year (January).
Yes the wider consensus on here was that Usyk would out box Dubois with ease then stop him in the later rounds,tbh I can’t see how anybody would have thought the fight was going to go any other way .
The fact that Usyk has harvested the souls of many of my fellow countrymen fighters (AJ x2, Bellew, Dubois, and Big Joe Joyce) has really ruffled a lot of feathers in certain quarters over here. The disrespect we've seen towards him, and I mean from his victims, current fighters, former fighters/pundits, promoters and fans etc. has been duly noted by yours truly. Bellew has always been very respectful towards him Big Joe doesn't harbour any animosity towards him or anyone but he's just a lovely guy. AJ obviously threw that massive tantrum and although he says he respects Usyk he comes across as so fake it's impossible to believe anything he says. Chisora acts nice to his face but bad mouths him behind his back and it seems to genuinely infuriate him when he beats our boys. Johnny Nelson and Haye have been disrespectful or very disrespectful in Nelson's case with some of their comments and I can tell they secretly resent him. Belly has obviously been really disrespectful and seems to harbour real animosity towards him and he always has and it's totally unprovoked too Big Frank and Don Charles have been very disrespectful towards him too Loads of Brits love Usyk but he's done absolutely nothing to warrant this irrational disliking of him by many. He's always conducted himself with class over here and been respectful, amiable, courteous and his usual jocular and playful self.
