His team might well be taking one out of Fury's play book, ala Chisora 3. Name some opponents that make everyone throw a fit, then target the match up he really wanted all along. Say, if Usyk goes straight to Fury 3, everyone throws a fit. But Usyk walking back from the idea of fighting Wilder to instead fight Fury a 3rd time... well his fans can sleep a little lighter about that one.

After all, we saw how many gave Fury a pass on Chisora 3, saying things like, but he does deserve a soft touch after fighter Wilder, Wilder, Whyte...as long as he doesn't do it again... next up Ngannou

 

I do find it interesting how friendly he is with Joshua. The dude totally disrespected him post fight. Usyk is a very forgiving individual maybe due to his religious faith.
