Yeah I know.:sisi1 But trust me, I'm a huge fanboy of Briedis and have been for years, that match was seen as a pick 'em fight at the time, and I predicted Briedis would KO Charr, Briedis is very heavy handed. The WSB isn't the amateurs IMO, and he took on 5 legit heavies and beat them all convincingly, 4 of the 5 heavies are better than anyone on AJ's resume pre Wlad. As far as power goes, he tends to set down on his shots more against HW's and performs far better against them than he does guys his own size or smaller. As far as his power goes, he's fighting guys who are known for their chins, usually the power drops off when facing top tier opponents, well he's jumped right into the deep end of the pool very early in his career, his comp is better, therefore their chins are better.

As far as Gassiev and Dorticos go, he'll beat either of them, and look good doing it.

By the same token, I'm not sure why the converse is so hard to grasp. If Usyk moves up and beats a top level SHW titlist, relying on his speed, and being at a great disadvantage in size and power, he will have done something that has never happened before in hw history.

No lower weight fighter with those qualities has ever moved up and in a non-controversial fight beat a hw champ as respected as AJ. For that matter, never even someone at Wilders level.

Speed without size and power is an absolutely terrible combination at HW. Go back 60 years and the 15 best hw's have all either been taller or harder hitting than their average peers, which the sole exception of Holyfield. And Holyfield arguably was 0 for 5 on fair scorecards against the two best SHWs he fought.

If he wins competition, he have to move up. He needs to move up for the legacy. Usyk would do well at heavyweight.

Uysk is moving to HW win or lose right after the CW final. Gassiev will follow suit as well.
