Or he gets befuddled at Usyk's movement, wings wild punches that miss by miles and gets soundly outboxed.

Usyk boxes Wilders face in and stops him before the 10th. He was on the verge of stopping iron chinned Gassiev and if he would have stepped on the gas sooner he would have. Wilder isn’t lasting the full 12.

I'm not gonna make a pick but since Usyk's been pro I thought he'd give HWs problems. I think he might be an even MORE effective HW than CW. We'll see.

Ha I was going make this a topic. DW a couple months ago brought up moving down to cruiserweight. I don't know if he actually meant it at all. I actually think if he thinks he can get down to 200 and not be too drain he should take this fight next. Usyk is like 6'3/6'4 about the same height as Ortiz.

The only reason I think he should is because Uysk is undisputed. Imagine winning the undisputed Cruiserweight championship and then fight AJ for undisputed HW championship. That would be an incredible feat. Fight and beat Fury after and like it or not he becomes an all time great.

Undisputed Cruiserweight. Undisputed HW. Then beating the lineal HW who beat the man who beat the man. Even his biggest haters would have to admit that would be incredible.

Also Wilder gets way to much hate for his technical flaws. Guy is entertaining as hell to watch, never watched a boring fight of his. This video is worth a watch to show DW does have some smarts and skill in there.

Only thing I'm confident of in regards to this fight is that Usyk would out box Wilder for long periods. If southpaw Szpilka could give him problems and southpaw Ortiz who is much slower and much less mobile than Usyk then I can only imagine Usyk would lead Wilder a merry dance as he tries to catch such an elusive target.

Does that mean Usyk can win? If it goes to the cards yes can't see Wilder winning a decision, Usyk simply is a far better schooled and skilled boxer.

But Wilder always has that equalizer, his right hand vs the southpaw stance is the perfect weapon, one good shot might be all he needs. Will come down to how well Usyk takes a shot at heavyweight. If he isn't too fazed by Wilder's power then he wins, if his chin succumbs to that right hand then of course Wilder wins.

Usyk's got a very good chin, and takes a punch well (i.e. rolls with it most times). He's also got good survival instincts and recovery abilities, and doesn't seem to get phased too much if he's been hurt. I don't think we're going to see a situation like the Szpilka bout unfolding, where Wilder's getting soundly outboxed and suddenly drops Usyk like a sack of spuds, though I wouldn't be surprised if he buzzes him a few times.

The fact that people have Usyk by KO, shows a high level of fanboyism. Usyk isn't a huge puncher at cruiser weight. Wilder although made fun of for being chinny, has a solid heavyweight chin. He's taken flush power shots from known power punchers like Ortiz, and Stiverne(first fight) and been hurt, but not been down.

It is an intriguing matchup for sure. We need to see how Usyk looks putting on more weight.

Usyk's only saving grace in this fight is Deontay doesn't weigh 240+ on fight night There's a good chance they'd be very close in weight if they ever fought.

It's just that power, it's such a neutralizing attribute to have. He doesn't even have to hit guys cleanly to knock them out. I've seen him make guys almost go into seizures when he hits them cleanly with his right hand. He's a very dangerous fighter because he can explode on his opposition at any moment.

Usyk would have to fight the perfect fight from the outside and be in perpetual motion all night to have a chance to beat him. I have a feeling that he'd probably get hurt from Deontay's shots even if they didn't hit him flush.

He needs to fight a top 10 HW first and slowly acclimate himself to the division. There's no need to rush into the toughest fights at HW without first getting his feet wet against a live opponent in the division.

I voted Wilder by KO. I'm big on Usyk, he has the skills to outbox pretty much everybody at HW. But, nobody really knows how he would adjust to the current HW scene and do against the super heavyweights, especially someone like Wilder, regardless of how bad he may look at times... he's unpredictable, very athletic and has crushing power. I could see Usyk having some success, but eventually, he gets caught and doesn't recover.

Wilder only has a lucky shot chance.

It'd be a mismatch, Wilder is an unskilled, poorly co ordinated, technically weak fighter with a low Boxing IQ. Usyk destroyed better guys in the WSB at super heavy
