Huck was a very talented fighter, but by 2017 had been shot for several years. Huck started slipping in 2012 and was shot by 2014. After coming off a long layoff in 2015 his timing and handspeed were long gone. The fact that he was still ranked in the top 10 as late as 2016 says a lot about how weak the talent is at cruiserweight.

Lebdev is a tough fighter, but he was also 37 years old and the only reason Gassiev managed a knockdown was due to Lebdev foolishly fighting the bigger and much younger Gassiev head on. As soon as Lebdev started fighting behind a jab and used angles Gassiev had no answer and started taking a pounding and barely got a split decison.

Also, Dorticos isn't incredibly skilled. Dortico had both the Abdoul and Lebdev fights freely available on the internet that showed Gassiev can't handle mobility, timing, and angles. Both Abdoul and Lebdev, who were old and small had no problem going the distance with Gassiev and exposing how one dimensional Gassiev was, but Dorticos clearly believing in his bogus knockout record against low quality opposition tried to match Gassiev's power and failed badly. He should've took a hint from the Miranda fight that he couldn't punch and that his chin wasn't good enough to take flush punches all night. Dorticos kept getting hit with the same punch over and over again. Gassiev's over telegraphed hooks and uppercuts that were landing on Dortico's all night would never touch Ward or for that matter any elite talent.
