This is exactly the kind of fight where doubters are going to predict Usyk to get mangled by a big solid tough natural HW...but then after withhold any credit even if he stops him because "Takam was an old never-was and never even beat anybody in his prime".
Fights in Chicago. I might just make the drive from St Louis to see Uysk live. I hope Hearn puts together a strong undercard.
Usyk gets on top by rounds 3-4 and paints pictures all over Takam. A mercy stoppage around the 8th or 9th in this one.
LIke it, Usyk wins, then Usyk can move onto the big boys after. This'll be a pretty good test for a 1st fight at HW. Never thought Takam was an elite fighter to begin with, but he was a pretty good one.
Does anyone else find it funny that in Usyks first HW fight, he's taking on a better opponent than Wilder? Wilders going to be cornered soon. Usyk, Joshua and Fury are coming for him, he can't keep running from the live dogs in the division.
