Usyk vs Tua

I was a big Tua fan back in the day. He was such a game aggressive fighter. . Usyk would destroy him and put on a clinic. Fury would do the same. There are levels in this game and Tua is several levels below Usyk.

I’d still like to fire up the time machine and see these guys fight. Tua could punch and was always looking for the KO. He just couldn’t box like Usyk and would be easily defused and defeated. Too many people underestimating Usyk. He’s the real deal and his only chink in the armor is is age. How much longer can he fight at this level?

THIS IS NONSENSE. Usyk in the widest UD possible. There are levels to this sport.

 

I rate Tua pretty well, but this one is wrong for him. Tua's basically a one punch fighter, and against a fleet footed southpaw, his left hook won't find a home. He'd get out worked.

 

If Usyk really can avoid Tua like Byrd then of course Usyk wins by UD.

But my memory is that Usyk is quite hittable in the early rounds.

Remember - Tua was a one-punch KO artist - even of elite HWs. One clean punch to Usyk's jaw. It may be TUA that takes it.

All it takes is one left hook for Tua to realise he'll be hitting air all night. He then spends the rest of the fight plodding aimlessly around doing his cross arm pseudo bob n weave schtick while being peppered at every second by Usyk's push punch combos. If he chooses to enter the ring with a silly haircut, said haircut will end up providing the majority of exciting moments from Tua as it flops energetically about on top of his constantly battered cauldron head.

 

Fight might end up looking more like Calzaghe Lacy.

Exactly. Byrd is a more advanced, specialised version of Chris Byrd (who dominated Tua) but with power.

 

I think Usyk can win that fight but if he gets caught its lights out. I think he would be able to avoid Tuas left hook because it was pretty easy to see and he never set it up. Tua was very powerful and strong and very dangerous. Would not be surprised by an early KO.

 

Most pundits agree that Usyk is hittable in the early rounds.

In Tua you have one of the hardest one-punch KO artists ever.

I fail to see how Usyk survives the early rounds.

 

Prime Tua lands one on any of these current Heavyweights Chin it would be lights out Usyk would be no exception....Similar to what Prime Tyson would do but not quite as quick.!!!!
