1. Wilder really only had 9 defenses, he lost the first fight with Fury, then fought an unranked Stiverne for some reason 2. Out of ALL REAL 9 defenses he only fought 1 fighter ranked higher than 15th in the world LOL 3. Usyk beat Briedis who is ranked 1 now in cruiser 4. Usyk beat Glowacki who is ranked 2 now in cruiser 5. Usyk also beat Hunter who is ranked 7 now at heavyweight
I was surprised how many rounds the judges gave Chisora, basically every round he was energetic he got. I gave him 5 rounds too but I thought Usyk would get a lopsided score, I score according to my own capricious whims. Wilder doesn't gas early and doesn't really pressure like Chisora, so Usyk is going to have to go through no man's land to score points and it will dangerous the whole fight. Not sure if Wilder is accurate enough to finish a defensively minded Usyk but it would be hard for Usyk to win (assuming the Wilder of years past is still around, which remains an open question).
Yes, I made a whole thread on why: https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/my-interpretation-of-usyk-at-heavy-hes-a-bit-bored.658932/ When Uysk comes to a real fight at heavy, he will kick it into first gear and throw 900-1000 punches. Wilder will get stopped again.
And he schooled WIlder in a lopsided fight whereas Usyk was competitive with Russo. Then Usyk went on to beat him in the 2012 Olympics winning gold.
If Molina can get Wilder to do the chicken dance then Usyk will have no problems. Usyk has Chisora wobbling... Wilder ain't hiting Usyk flush he is too good for that one trick pony.. Usyk TKO...
I had it 7-5 Usyk, if I recall. I thought that was maximally generous to Chisora and was surprised to see (again, from memory) 2 judges right around there.
So people think a guy who was rocked by Molina, had his face bashed up by Duhaupas, that Szpilkas movement caused issues, Washingtons jab caused issues and was dropped by Nichols and Scroniers will beat arguably the best CW of all time?
