A weight of 220 is ideal. Usyk isn't a hard puncher no matter what weight hes going to be at HW. He needs more weight for punch resistance and inside clinching though. Speed will be lost but not that much. giving up SLIGHT speed for more durability and power is a must against certain guys and will make his fights easier, then trying to box perfect for 12 rounds. Usyk has Sirenko the ACTUAL guy who made Povetkin give AJ such a hard time bc Sirenko is one of those dominant HW fighters that doesn't give up rounds so easy , you'll see that when he mows down everyone while going into top rankings. . Theres literally no pressure Takam will bring to Usyk ,I would bet anything the training session with Sirenko is going to be harder then the actual Takam fight for Usyk. Ali Bashir has two people who he favors over Usyk, that's Joshua AND Sirenko ( before anyone tells me I don't know what im talking about, lol )
Usyk's physical advantages over the big HWs is his speed, movement and work rate. This would go out the window if he bulked up.
Yeh that was a mad comparsion, comparing uysk to hide, and not holyfield atleast, going down like a warrior! For **** sake.
If I heard it right Usyk weighed 96.1kg which Google tells me translates to 211.8lbs and JJJ weighed 108.4kg which translates to 238.9lbs So that's a good guess This content is protected
He’s he probably does. Wilder is not skinny at all. His legs are skinny. His upper body is lean but it can hardly be described as small or lacking in muscle. You don’t need to be an expert to take one look at Wilder and reach the conclusion that he weighs so light at 6’7” because his legs are unusually skinny. He bulks up those legs and he is 230+ easily. If Wilder doesn’t have thick wrists he is not carrying even half the punching power he does.
