I could say the same thing about people who hate Mayweather. It is because of the same thing.

 Usyk is similar to Saunders, his power is decent enough to keep guys at bay, occasionally drop or hurt guys badly, but he's got a safety first mindset, which is usually applauded by most of his detractors. When he could go for the kill, he chooses to play it safe, because that's the smart thing to do. Why risk getting KO'd late by a Gassiev, who clearly carries his power deep into a fight, when you can school him and shut him out in his own backyard.

Who the hell calls him feather-fist? What, just because he's coming up from CW and/or because doesn't often sit down on his punches (as his style doesn't frequently lend itself to doing so)? Anybody gleaning that conclusion from those facts doesn't have a very keen grasp on nuance.

AJ beating a washed up Alexander Povetkin and washed up Wladmir Klistchko proves AJ is a paper champion fraud. In any case has Usyk beat any heavyweight yet? Wait he hasn't. AJ would walk right through him without fear of being hit and destroy this guy.

Joshua will welcome ANY southpaw bc it will make for a far easier fight and against a guy who only Joshua detractors think will be stunned by Usyks punches ?

Usyk will be a good name on Joshuas resume IF Usyk actually defeats a top guy first, otherwise the same trolls on here will say he beat a CW...( don't worry i'll be coming back to this thread)

    On the fight?

Usyk poses little danger for Joshua UNLESS he can improve on power and his speed wont be the same at 220 plus at HW.

As I stated before Joshua isn't going to lose any fight unless you hurt him at least enough to keep him at bay and maneuver around him. Usyk simply doesn't apply to that based on what weve seen.

Joshua is 3 inches taller and about 25 pounds heavier at HW ..lets hope Usyk makes it past Bellew first, how about that ?

Lol Right on. As far as WHO calls him feather fisted it’s mainly idiots like IKSAB or ImMadTheyDontBoxMcNeeleysNoMo7.

CST hit the nail on the head with the Saunders power comparison.

Hughie Fury has decent hand speed but punches with about as concussively as wet flannel being chucked a toddler.

Having never felt a punch from either I can say with conviction that Usyk can punch harder than Hughie Fury, if either of them were to ever really sit down on a shot with spite.

Who is the smallest fighter you would say is a bigger puncher than Hughie? Kovalev? Or can we got lower?

Oh goodness yes. GGG > Hughie for sure.

Probably no 154lbers, though. Who's even the biggest hitter there right now? Munguia/Hurd? Yeah, neither of them. So I guess that is the Hughie Fury cutoff line, between junior middle and middle.

I just feel there is an agenda on the forum against Joshua.

People are desperate to see hes downfall... but why? Hes great for the sport... hes under enormous pressure to win all the time to please 80 000 fans is no big feat. You guys cant even give a presentation to 50 people let alone defend a 4 belts at wembley.

Any man that stands and trades with Joshua is going home in a stretcher. Usyk is no different of a man. He will not make a difference.

Povetkin was mobile, AJ still found his range. I've watched all Usyks fights he is not as mobile as you think he is, very similar to Povetkin. Parker moved more than Usyk when he fought Joshua.

Stop trying to over-hype Usyk... cruisers ain't the same as the super heavies of today.

Beterbiev, Gvozdyk, Stevenson, Joe Smith Jr. adn Kovalev are all probably bigger punchers than Hughie. David Benavidez and Jose Uzcategui, down at SMW, GGG and Lemieux, possibly.
