To all those who keep saying he is "wasted talent". who gives a flying ****, a woman has just been killed and some people are acting like boxing is the loser in all this, what about her family or the girl herself, have they not lost more?

Just read about this over at fightnews, very sad news, Valero was a good fighter, what a waste. Feel sorry for his children who have to grow up without their beautiful mom.

    RIP

Interesting points-not saying its true, but...if true, what on earth does this tell us about this 'sport' boxing.....:-(

... man...this really brings it home...

Why is anyone bothered about Valero's 'career' at a time like this? This goes way deeper than any of that.

Damn, she was young and beautiful. And his career was on the rise, had great potential to be as exciting as Manny Pacquiao. Valero should definitely be punished for what he did. Just a crazy, insanely sad ending overall. He was one of my favorite fighters.

Edit: I don't mean to insinuate that Boxing is more important than the life of Valero's wife. She's definitely the bigger picture. But this is a Boxing forum so I felt the need to mention something about Valero's career.

he is basically ****ed up now, it doesn't matter if he goes free, his life will never be the same again ever. He won't ever box again after a **** like that, i'm positive about that. Prison is just right for him, because i doubt it someone will ever care about him outside, his relatives probably even despise and fear him right now. He gets no love outside so might as well stay behind bars where he could start over and probably make new friends

I hope no one ever talks about this piece of **** ever again. And the hell with the brain damage theory. Don't give the guy an excuse to look innocent.

The sad thing is an innocent woman was killed and now children are left without parents and will have to go through life with the stigma that their father murdered their mother.
Valero is beyond excuses. It was pretty apparent that something bad was gonna happen. He didn't get the help he needed. Too much machismo for his own good. So what, did Monzon have a brain injury, too? The man should be hanged.
