whether he activates it or not its clear he has a rematch clause, its really only standard practice for a belt holder to do this, no surprise.

Well he had his head down and looked like a man who was beaten or felt that way imo. He has boxed far better then that but that's against guys who stand there with full guard and try out punch him at range. I admit i wish Haye worked a bit more to make it a clearer win for himself but imo he made Valuev look follish and next time he just do same thing and Valuev will be having another loss to add to his record.

I don't think Valuev will take it. He said post-fight he wasn't ready for a marathon, will he ever be? He didn't enjoy the fight and had no problems with the decision.

He's also pretty old and already made a lot of money.

a rematch in the uk could earn him even more money to retire on.

although theres probably a million or so people who might not pay to watch that again...

Controversial fight. Haye can win clearer. Sublime defence, poor offence.

It was NOT controversial, there was NO "sublime" defence displayed and his offence although sparing (probabily down to the broken hand) certainly far from poor and bar a KO or a shutout how much clearer do you want?

Complete rubbish. A journo asked in the post fight press conference if Haye would fight him again. Haye said if he got in line and beat a few opponents yes why not.

a journo from the place they TALK boxing seems to think there is a rematch clause too

Leon's Response: I know Haye got a gift over Valuev. Should I be really be celebrating the decision? Do you think the Germans behind Valuev have future options on Haye? I'm here to tell you they do. It was an awesome job of trading up. Haye's next two fights will be an action packed barn burner with John Ruiz and then the Valuev rematch.

Haye promised us both the Kilts heads on a plate ... now we have to suffer John Ruiz.

Maybe I'm impatient, I just wanted him to fight the best out there while he's at his best.

That's how he sold himself too.

    He's 29 now.

If he doesn't take on Ruiz he has to drop the belt...if he drops the belt he has lost any negotiating angle against the Klits...as far as i'm concerned, no belt, no Klits:deal

    I realise that, icemax.

Maybe I moan too much. I just want him to get on with it and fight the Klits. I guess that is still, at very least, a year down the line.
