116-112 Valuev. He made the fight, threw more punches, pressed the action. Haye ran and flicked out occassional punches. The only round he clearly won was the 12th. That said, this was not an easy fight to score, because BOTH fighters did SO little.
1. Haye 2. Haye 3. Haye 4. Valuev 5. Even 6. Valuev 7. Valuev 8. Haye 9. Haye 10. Valuev 11. Even 12. Haye 116-114 to Haye. Close-ish, could have been a draw if you gave Valuev the first.
1- Valuev 10-10 Haye 2- Valuev 9-10 Haye 3- Valuev 9-10 Haye 4- Valuev 10-9 Haye 5- Valuev 9-10 Haye 6- Valuev 10-10 Haye 7- Valuev 10-9 Haye 8- Valuev 9-10 Haye 9- Valuev 9-10 Haye 10- Valuev 9-10 Haye 11- Valuev 9-10 Haye 12- Valuev 9-10 Haye Final score- Valuev 112-118 Haye
I watched the fight in the pub so didn't score it, but as I pretty much expected the fight consisted of Valuev lumbering forward pawing out his telegraphed jab and mostly hitting fresh air as Haye moved in and out throwing the occasional, yet effective and eye catching, combination. It was close enough, but Haye won. Those grapes really seem to be tasting sour at the moment though
i had haye by 4 rounds (and that was when i gave the two even rounds to valuev as i thought the judges would). the only robbery is your scorecard. **** me sideways you are blind 118 - 110 to valuev is laughable.
This pretty much sums it up. When a challenger is fighting for the belt, he needs to stamp his name with a closed fist and come out there in the ring deserving of the belt... What Haye did last night is anything to brag about.
the commentary team are ******s and don't like haye only a blind moron could have valuev winning it, even valuev has stated he lost.
only 2 of them did, the ever talentless Jim Watt (anagram of TWAT) and Nicky Piper. Steve Bunce had haye 3 up, Johnny Nelson had Haye winning as did Jimm Twat's commentating partner whose name eludes me. oh yeah and so did Glenn Mcrory.
Exactly. You don't win the title by RUNNING. I was frankly shocked, as I had it pretty wide for Valuev. He made the fight. Haye RAN like he was AFRAID of getting knocked out. Here's my round by round scoring 1 Valuev 10-9 2 Haye 10-9 3 Valuev 10-9 4 Valuev 10-9 5 Valuev 10-9 6 Valuev 10-9 7 Valuev 10-9 8 Haye 10-9 9 Haye 10-9 10 Valuev 10-9 11 Valuev 10-9 12 Haye 10-9 Therefore, 116-112, Valuev
