Ruiz beat Valuev without the need to use any clinches the first time, some of you fools need to watch that fight before saying Ruiz clinched all night, Ruiz actually exchanged with him and stunned him numerous times but obviously got robbed where the Alien has the advantage. Ruiz will win again but still gets robbed unless he scores a KO which is nearly impossible.
The WBA loves Ruiz because he has CONNECTIONS. How do you think a fighter with such little ability ever got rated in the first place?? Ruiz is exhibit A of everything that's wrong with the sport. Mediocre fighters with little talent getting shots because of who's behind them - and then disgracing the sport, and ripping off the fans, by constantly cheating to "win." The whole Ruiz Fraud is the biggest disgrace that I've seen to this sport since I began following it 30 years ago. And that's saying something!
I am glad that they pushed Chagaev aside and the title is back on the market. Valuev by late TKO. Then, maybe we'll see Vitali and Valuev throw down and unify the WBA and WBC titles sometime in 2009. Assuming Vitali beats Peter (very likely) and that Valuev beats Ruiz (also very likely).
The good thing is one of them is going to lose (unless there is a draw or NC). The bad one is that there will be a winner as well.
I hope Ruiz gets a fair decision after he whips Valuev again so he can knock out that club fighter Peter and get his chance to ko Vladdy.
