Ortiz by KO. He will make it look easy.

Stanionis style is going to war. The fastest way to the canvas when you fight Ortiz is going to war.

No way Stanionis nor anyone can stand in front of Ortiz today taking punches to give punches. No way.

    This is a good interview.

I remember telling my trainer that I liked to train. He told me that it was not good, that the best fighters he had ever trained hated to train, that those fighters only liked to spar and fight. He told me that the best fighters he knew only felt good when they were fighting, period.

    I'm sure he was right.

You'd have to drive it over me in the process though and I hate being interrupted during my bedroom workouts

    Stanionis by stoppage.

Ortiz may not be the same fighter after rhabdomyolysis.

    Hope I am wrong.

Luckily you are wrong. Ortiz is winning this.

I've been one of the biggest backers and fanboys of Ortiz on this site, for quite some time. But I'd be lying if I said I was supremely confident he was going to get the win this Saturday. A fully healthy Ortiz, I'd still have a degree of trepidation for him going into this match, Stanionis is no joke. While Ortiz would've most likely outworked him or possibly won by late stoppage, the possibility of Eimantas doing the same to him, wasn't out of the realm of possibility. So to take a match like this after coming off two bouts with rhabdomyolysis, which is potentially fatal, is absolute madness, and if he can pull it off, it should be rated as one of the best wins of the year. Because on top of Eimantas being a tough as nails rock solid opponent, he's also a bit of a stylistic nightmare fo Ortiz. Eimantas is deceptively fast, catches and shoots quite well, has excellent timing and tends to find openings and punches with his opponents, which eventually makes them a bit more apprehensive to let their hands go. So if he can take the power of Ortiz, and he might, Butaev hits like a Mack truck and he took his power disturbingly well, then he can very much get into a rhythm and counter the hell out of Vergil and in combination. Now... if this is a weatherbeaten shell of Ortiz, ravaged by rhabdomyolysis. Then his internal organs and even skin itself may be somewhat compromised and react far more poorly than with a fully healthy Ortiz, also he may not be able to generate power as well or have the same gas tank. So sadly... I'm kind of leaning Stanionis by stoppage here.

Also, Jerry Perez is going to **** JoJo Diaz up and either send him into retirement or a downward spiral.

Honestly, as much as I love Ortiz, things are stacked against him. It’s not crazy to say that it’s a 50/50 with healthy versions of both, but it’s a sick version of Ortiz. Also like you said, it’s stylistically a nightmare for Ortiz. If he gets the win on Saturday then it’s easily win of the year. On a side note, I thought it was just one bout with rhabdomyolysis?

Second time cancelled now... Sad to say that I think this fight might end up not happening at all given Ortiz's reoccurring health issues.

Give Stanionis a replacement opponent to face this Saturday. He shouldn't be put on ice just because Ortiz had to withdraw again.

Yes. In a lot of states if the headline entertainer cancels then the promotion is legally obligated to refund tickets. Contact them ASAP. I've had to do this in Nevada.
