Boots at this point ain't gonna lose to anyone other than Spence, I'd even give him a good shot at Crawford now. He is the total package. Vergil's own team has said that Boots is possible...............down the road, they didn't want him. They even understand the serious threat he is.

And before anyone says otherwise, I like Vergil, I've said tons of times both him and Boots are eventually gonna be the top 2 WWs. Boots simply punches too straight and crisp and his feet are too good.

I couldn't agree more. I like both but boots is too quick of both hand and foot for Ortiz.

You do realize that Ortiz was coming in off the longest layoff of his career, right? Furthermore, he was going in there against a guy who was moving A LOT. However, Ortiz didn't panic. He worked the body and slowed his man down. Eventually Ortiz was able to catch up to him and stop him.

The one thing that I was really impressed with is the fact that Ortiz wasn't even breathing hard after a long layoff and all the punches he was throwing. He appears to have world-class stamina.

Anyhow, he did good. He might have been a little rusty but he shook it off and worked through it. Lets see how he fares in his next bout.

McKinson wasn't a bad fighter , guy had some skill , was tough and moved well. But I don't think you'll see many fighters who punch as lightly as he does. His jab was a tap, tap, and he slapped with his other punches. I don't believe he sit down on anything he threw to get some respect and Ortiz showed him none.

This is 50/50 fight at the moment. If I HAD to lean, I'd day Ortiz may have the slight edge.

This is a fight that needs to happen either this year or next, way too good of a match up to pass up on while they're both still young and looking beastly. For me this is a 50/50 fight that can go either way. Someone is getting stopped.

50/50 for me. Both have looked great against lesser opponents. Boxing fan want to see it so that means it won’t happen for years.

This fight has a shot of happening pretty soon - even next.

Absolutely have no confidence in Spence v. Crawford happening. Spence will fight Thurman next (his #1 contender for the WBC belt) and Crawford has no good options at 147lbs so he very well may move up and pursue Charlo for the WBO at 154lbs (as he's their champ at 147)

WBO has Ortiz and Ennis ranked #1 and 2, they'll be asked to fight for the vacant belt (as I don't see Crawford wanting to fight either of them if he can land Charlo)
