I've always seen Vernon as a sort of H2H monster at 147. He has both the jab and the right hand power to keep Manny at bay and hurt.

It was the surgery to his left shoulder that ruined Vernon.

Yeah, this is a welterweight discussion, not a p4p better fighter discussion. I favor Forrest over both men. Although, not by shutout.

So, we're going with amateur fights now? Pryor/Hearns? Tyson/Tillman? Zab Judah/David Diaz?

I think a prime Forrest would be too much for Pac at 147. But thats no knock on Pac, Vernon would have a big height, reach, and size advantage to go along with his ability.

I think the older, slower version of Forrest could be beaten by Pac though, just not the one that fought at welterweight when at his best. I also think that Forrest would likely beat every welterweight today.

Another hypothetical match-up.....................get Void to fight Pac, but he will not, Void is a woman beater!

manny isn't all in and out motion, bro. He knows all the angles.

But Forrest has the skills and physical tools to beat Pac. I wouldn't bet on him though.

Of course!!! It's only the dead and the old retired fighters can beat Pacquiao!!

But in real life, Pac retires people!!! He retired DLH & Hatton! Even Floyd goes to retirement because of Pac!!

Forrest would have beaten De La Hoya and Trinidad too.

You will catch a lot of flack for mentioning an amateur fight. When you see how much a fighter progresses and changes even after they have 20 pro fights under their belts, you can see why.

    However....

The fight against Tszyu was such a one sided affair, so humiliating... with Kostya dominating in such an incredible way. My jaw was dropping as I watched Kostya score at will. To be honest I could never in a million years see Forrest beating Tszyu. I know that is hypothetical, because we are talking Forrest at 147, and we know Kostya was never going to budge from 140.

What I am saying is that you can usually throw amateur records out the window, just as you can throw out how people go in sparring. But I saw Forrest become Tszyu's ***** for life. Some images stick.

When I saw Mayorga beat Forrest, I wasn't as surprised as everyone else seemed to be.

I would back Pac to win. If Pac loses a fight I will be shocked. When Forrest lost, I wasn't.

I don't know about shutting out, but I definitely see Vernon beating both Pac and Floyd.

Even Roger Mayweather has admitted the Vernon would have been the toughest challenge for Floyd for anyone who's fought at 147 in recent years.
