Vernon at his best was special, I think he would beat Spence by decision but Bud could get to him late, that's the fight I've thought about for a while. Keef would have been a sweet one with Vernon too, plenty of skill there.

I favor Spence over Forrest. Forrest win over Mosley was due to his jab and great ability to use his range and distance against Mosley. Mosley always struggled against pure boxers who had a good jab. Winky and Forrest where boxers who controlled their opponents with their jab and spacing keeping fighters out of range. Mayweather also kept Mosley out of range with his jab. Forrest struggled with Mayorga twice because of his constant pressure. I think Spence gives him trouble with his smothering pressure and body attacks.

Forrest is such an anomaly in my eyes. So hard to predict. Beat Shane back to back. Shane frogging Mosley. Then lost to mayorga back to back. Lost to mora?! Then beat him. So hard to gauge Vernon Forrest. I’d pick him against Spence. That seems easy for some reason. Crawford is harder. Bud would probably lose early rounds trying to box n keep his mind on defense n countering. But buds that got that trigger. So for me, beats Spence, loses to Crawford.

I love Vernon Forrest but it's hard for me to pick him against Spence when he lost to guys like Mayorga and Mora.

Forrest was not impressive at all. He had one good year(when he beat Mosely--his claim to fame) but that was it. Nothing really noteworthy after that.

Got to go with Forrest for now because he was more proven.

What a crazy time that was.

Shane dethroning Oscar, Vernon upsetting Shane and this absolute madman from Nicaragua comes in and knocks Forrest off the throne.

For those oi picking Forrest over someone they need to look at Forrest vs Vince Philips and Forrest vs Mayorga II. This fighter really wasn't that good.

I'm very high on Forrest but I kinda think Spence might be a bad matchup for him. That's a good fight.

The Crawford one is also very tough...

Excellent matchups, I'm not sure who I'd favor in these.

    Agree.

Porter is nothing like a prime Mayorga, imo, and doesn't possess the traits Mayorga did really trouble Forrest, beyond pure aggression.

You literally wrote this last year:

“I think Vernon would probably be undisputed in today's WW division. Only Ennis would have a chance due to styles”
