Nicely done:good. I happen to remember Comet Dawkins when he was blasted by one Morris Lukes on the Pacific Northwest Planet many moons ago. Quite the battle I might add! Having written that, I liked Riddick but he was definitely very good and not great. His prime was too short, you never know what shape he'd show up in and his Golota thing was terrible. The Holyfield rivalry was brilliant, though. Anyone remember when he punched his opponent at the press conference? Who was it? Larry something? It's getting late for me, cheers.

not close to great. Very good. Never fought or beat the opposition he would have to for a great fighter. And to be honest had Rock Newman not been in the picture, Riddick might have fought those big fights. Rock Newman got in the way of his career and would rather have controversy and after fight brawls than Riddick fighting a Lewis or Tyson or Foreman.

#1: I was oddly aroused minus a boner. Did not know what to make of that feeling:blood

Interesting point. That possibly may have been bad for Bowe so maybe Rock "new" something we didn't. I just don't think Bowe was good enough to beat a Lewis on his game period. Very good fighter but him being "ATG" needs to die he was never that good. Fast.

Bowe was great. I saw those fights with Holyfield. No more evidence needed.

I know you're not big on heavies, Sal, but I'm not sure it works like that, with them, with the weight and such. :blurp I mean, if it was at flyweight and there was a thirty pound advantage, absolutely bad on him.

That's where I'm leaning, that no matter how uneven he may've been or how brief it may have been for, he got "there".

Edit: And where in the flipping flap have you been? Welcome back.

i agree, its a shame rock got his hands on him. riddick had the potential like eddie futch said, but poor managing, serious weight draining, premature brain damage and his own stupidity led to his short prime, quick downfall and his career being wasted

I don't know; I think 30 pounds is a significant thing, no matter the weight class. Sure, it means less the further up you go, I think we can all agree on that, but we all saw those fights. The difference in size and strength was evident.

just very good but..... with the potential to be great. h2h in his absolute prime bowe is a monster that i would favor over most Hw champs.

but he did not become great jjust very good. he didn't fight lennox for example
