I didn't catch it but seemed to watch most of it. Hopefully a YT link will be up soon. The kid is very personable, has all the qualities to be a potential star if he maintains discipline. Apparently, he likes to surf, skateboard, and rap. He claimed to have one of his songs sent in to Rolling Stones and get rated 5 stars. He laughed about that and then said "winning." The guy definitely comes off much more charismatic and articulate than most boxers. He's making a fan out of me. I also thought this was good for boxing. Rarely is it covered or talked about on ESPN on the programs but they spent a good 5-10 minutes interviewing one on one. So obviously his fight, which was incredibly exciting generated a lot of attention for him and boxing.
He had a very difficult childhood, he understandably sees things differently to most of us. Boxing fans awarded his post-Maidana honesty with incredible amount of disrespect and trashed him violently when he was down (some of you assholes read this very post, how does it feel to look like an abolute tool?), but at least now most realize... he's just different. I guess you either like him or dislike him but he definitely has charisma and can fight too. Good to see him overcoming all of his past, he's a credit to the sport. A footage of this ESPN stuff would be very welcomed. :thumbsup
Great. Hopefully, GBP keeps him active and lets him build on this buzz. I also caught him commentating on a local broadcast of Fight Night Club and found him articulate, engaging, and funny. I wish the kid well.
Its funny how victor went from being underrated to being overrated now in 1 fight, i like him though, I always thought he had great potential but his lack of heart to be great was holding him back. He got rid of those demons vs berto though.
that was awesome. i liked him b4 the maidana fight then questioned his heart but he has came back from that strong and is nothing but a humble, classy champion. bright future for the kid if he just stays focused and dedicated. definately a fan of his.
