Interesting ethical dilemmas here. Would the passive "who cares" response be the same if it was Roger Goodell betting on an NFL game with a few current players? Or David Stern betting on NBA games?

It seems a bit less incriminating being the NSAC or whatever commissions are in charge of the judging etc. But still remains unprofessional and reflects the difference between UFC and the big sports organizations.

Well a promoter should NEVER be bettng on any fight he's promoting. it's called inside information. He'd know who was hurt and a whole bunch of other confidential information that he could benefit from.

Essentially it's the same as insider trading on a the stock exchange. If I'm a CEO of coke I better not be buying or selling large amount of coke shares if I know something the general public doesn't.
