Video: Amateur boxer attacks referee

He's a prize fighter, probably didn't want to get hit without gloves.

 

The fact that the Blue boxer literally sprinted from the ring when he was the only person in the position to stop the brutal beating of the ref, says something pretty negative about him as well. Some responses in the other thread were basically that he did the right thing in running and should not have risked his career, but to that I say some things shouldn’t be thought about in that way. The ref could have been seriously hurt and if he tackled the guy off from behind, he would have had the help of 50 people within seconds and prevented the ongoing violent assault!

Some may disagree with me (and obviously this is a very broad statement for scenarios that may involve split second thinking), but sometimes in life you are left in a position where only you can help someone in distress. I think if you can, you should

Should never be allowed to box again, used bare hands. Also the other boxer should be ashamed for running away and not even trying to restrain him.

 

His reaction was very strange I haven't fought in years a part from some sparring so in the same situation I might be shocked and just watch for a couple of seconds before reacting but I will never ever have the idea to run away. As some other people pointed out prolly the fight was blatantly arranged.

Even if the ref was corrupt, it's a damn amateur bout. The fighter should've kept composed and focused on rebounding, not pounding the ref.

 

I think the ref deserved at least a slap for that UK style stoppage, but I think the guy went just a little overboard when he continued to pummel the ref when he was down. I bet that ref will think twice next time, though... Should have kept it on the level. :yep

Love these holier than thou "ban him for life" responses. Christ, that ref was obviously a slimey under the table money takin dirty fukk...you see this young kid whoopin this old man n feel sorry for the old guy but I see a competitor whose hard work was undermined by a corrupt slimey old *******. Not saying the kids smart or did the right thing but I don't know him and I ain't mad at him. Personally, I love seeing corrupt *******s get the crap punched out of them. Young or old.

 

Best part was the blue boxer. Got the hell out of dodge didn't he?

 

That stoppage was absolute trash though. "Corruption" is the word that comes to mind.

This is why amateur boxing is a complete waste. A horrible sport at any level other than simply training.

But yes, the kid should be banned. The ref being a POS doesn't warrant the boxer being an even bigger one.

 

Who's the bigger piece of **** really tho? The kid who answered with fists like he knows how or the sleaze ball who screws over hard working kids? I see the fighter as being a much more honest character in this instance. He did some good. Gaurantee that even if that ref continues to take money he's gonna at least try to not be so obvious. He might never ref again...that's a positive thing for boxing.
