Pac has been KTFO for leading with his face. :patsch

Attack the content you clown, not the author. Apparently you're not capable of doing it. :deal

"Its a fact of life the southpaw vs. orthodox results in both fighters getting over extended."

Absolute horse-****. Dude, stick to the trolling threads. You clearly don't know ****.

Marquez is his bogey man and he's 2-1-1 with him,not bad going,he got caught in the last fight when Marquez looked ready to go,credit to marquez.
The fight being dissected is a fight manny won,so picking out marquez' highlights isn't really showing the full story.

Watch, in the first round when Floyd lands that right hand on Pacqiauos jaw, that's when hell have visions of Marquez. From then on whenever Pacqiauo tries to launch an attack he will hesistate and think twice before launching himself forward, for that tenth of a second while hes thinking of whether to go or not Mayweathers already hit him and gone.

Sharp right hand counters will win this fight.

I disagree. JMM is a get hit to hit fighter and is limited to be in harms way. Floyd is a hit and not get hit fighter who a lot of times barely has to ever unveil his best in virtually all of his fights. The same opportunities that were presented to JMM are going to be there for Floyd. The difference is that Floyd is better at exposing them. This fight is going to be a cake walk.

Maidana was supposed to be a cakewalk too. Pac has similar aggression but isn't a statue like Maidana. Floyd will NOT be as confident getting his shots off either. In Mannys case, he may become hesitant because a sharp counter is coming but if you don't think Floyd will be hesitant because a barrage of fast punches are coming then you have distorted perspective.

The fact that you used the term cake walk is laughable. Totally laughable.

I have to think that Roach is aware that Pac is susceptible to counter punching opportunities. From the first fight with Marquez, second round JMM could read Pac like a book. He was slipping and countering everything Pac through at him. Roach would be a horrible trainer if he didn't note that and try to correct it. Hell, in the face off, Kellerman pointed out the right counter to Pac and asked what his strategy was. So they are aware.

The problem is Pac is open to counter punching because of his style. You can't fix it without changing Pac. Pac is essentially an ambush fighter with fast hands and feet. Ideally, he moves into punching range, unloads and moves away before his opponent can respond. That is the best Pacquiao.

A lot of the power that Pac generates comes from the fact that he is throwing while charging in, totally committed to his punches. Because of this, he is often off balance and out of position and open to counter shots.

When Pac fights someone who he can physically dominate with his speed and power, its a wrap. That's why he looks so good against guys like Oscar, Rios and Margarito. With those guys he could get in quickly, unload on them and get out before they were even able to drop their guard. Pac throws his jab to set up the left hand. He's basically throwing 1-2, 1-1-2, 2-1, 1-2-1-2. When he physically overwhelms his opponent, all he has to do is repeat the process. Even when he getting caught, Pac's attitude is, I'll get him on the next exchange. Opponents like these have no chance against Pac.

When you put Pac up against someone who is as athletic and skilled it's a different story. If you have good timing you can catch Pacquiao coming in. You know he's coming, you just have to time him. If you have good footwork, you can push Pacquiao off balance and out of position. He will lunge off balance to try and create exchanges. He does it every fight. If you have good defense, you can avoid Pacquiao's attacks. Marquez, Bradley and Algieri showed they can make Pac miss. Pac landed 27.5% of his shots against Marquez in 4 fights and only 20% against Clottey.

This is where you have to know the strengths and weaknesses of the different fighters. Pac's strength is his foot speed and athleticism, power, work rate and chin. Pac's weaknesses are suseptibility to counter punching, He's easy to hit and he's very predictable.

Mayweather's strengths are his defense, accuracy, counter punching, timing, ability to read opponents and optimize against their attack. So Mayweather's strengths are also Pacquiao's weaknesses. Bad matchup for Pacquiao. He can't really adjust because the flaws are inherent in his style.

There is an outstanding question and that is can Pac physically overwhelm Floyd with his speed and power? I have no confidence that he can because neither Marquez nor Bradley were overwhelmed and while Algieri couldn't handle the power, but he did ok at times with the speed. If Floyd can handle the speed than the power is meaningless. Floyd can simply take away Pac's left hand the entire fight.

Floyd can handle the speed because Marquez never looked slower than the day he faced Mayweather. Floyd was significantly faster than Marquez and a step ahead at all times. Marquez had a problem with Pac's speed in round 1 of their first fight and then never again. Marquez and Pac have identical reaches. There will be a significant gap where Floyd will be able to position himself where he can attack and Pac will have to lunge to breech the gap. Floyd can either catch him on the way in or slip and counter. Manny's speed will be somewhat neutralized, because he will have more distance to travel.

That guy is a biased idiot.

That's the same guy that has Floyd throwing a right hand, rear foot stepping forward, and getting countered by slow ass Guerrero with a left uppercut, yet he's praising Floyd.

    Did you watch the video?

That guy thinks he knows boxing, but he's going to be in for a surprise for showing a sample of something that is going to result in a Mayweather knockdown.

    LOL.

Either you didn't watch the video or you don't know shlt about boxing.

Pick one because if you did watch it and you didn't catch it, you don't know shlt about boxing.

You've yet to respond to any technical ****ysis in a meaningful way.:deal If you have nothing to say of worth, just stfu. You're about to go on my ignore list.

You say the author is biased and doesn't know ****. Fine. Post a counter argument or video. Because so far, you haven't said anything of substance.

If there is a technical point of the video you disagree with, point out the technical flaw and why it is wrong. Many other posters have disagreed and offered technical ****ysis as to why they are in disagreement. Those are solid posts and a joy to read.

So far, your entire argument is: "he doesn't know ****."

If you are unable to respond in a meaningful way due to the conversation being out of your depth, be like a good little boy, let the adults talk, and you might learn something in the process.

FYI - The same author posted a video praising Pacquiao's punching technique. I also started a thread with it so we can comment on Pacquiao's strengths and greatness. Again, I see nothing from you there either. I also see nothing from you in another thread I posted, with a video, showcasing the great adjustments Pacquiao made in his 2nd fight with Bradley.

i.e - You say nothing in threads praising Pacquiao. (Because you don't have anything to say obviously.) And you do say something if you see something negative about Manny, or something positive about Mayweather in threads. (Because what you can do is trash talk, not talk boxing)

Floyd skills are way above Manny, I want Manny to win so we can se a rematch but Floyd Technical Skills would be too much for Manny to handle. I see Floyd winning this fight.

Couple of points mate. Maidana was bigger than Floyd. He's a better in fighter than Manny and cuts off the ring better than Manny. He's not a reckless aggressor like Manny who at times leave both feet off of the canvas because he's so wild. His pressure is more of an awkward way like Castillo and he throws these crazy overhand type punches/ clubs from awkward angles. His jab is better than Manny's jab. I'm comfortable saying he has a higher ring IQ than Manny. With all that said, his most sucess in the fight was hitting behind the head and other dirty tactics. He had one nice punch at the end of the third round but theres not really much more to list.

Manny is smaller. Has less reach. His defense is mostly entirely his offense meaning he doesn't really have defense. He's repititious and doesn't adapt in the ring. He still to this day has not solved how to avoid a right hand. Anytime he throws a right he drops his left hand beneath his chin and telegraphs his left if the fighter hasn't caught on to the same combination he throws all fight long. He's not that versatile at all unless he's fighting a stationary punching bag with lessor handspeed and no defense as well.

I'm sticking with cake walk pal. I will be sure to hit you up after the fight when the cake walk is demonstrated. That reckless bull**** is just going to get Manny KO'ed again. Just watch. Also Manny stays in the middle of the ring for the majority of the fight. He doesn't get guys in the ropes hardly which is going to play right into Floyds game. It's going to be a chess match. Not tic tac toe that Manny likes. He's going to have to think more which he doesn't like to do be sucessful and land punches against Floyd. And keep in mind he's not a great thinker at all. Manny is ****ed other than finally getting a real pay day for once but that will just cover what he owes the IRS and his country in back taxes for the most part. CAKE WALK!!!!

Manny wasn't over extended when JMM knocked him out.

Floyd however was over extended when Judah dropped him.

I like to attack both the point and the person. You like the maker of the video are a dumb****.

I'm with you here. If you watch the way Maidana fought, he basically picked a few times per round to push Floyd in the corner get inside and just throw as many shots as possible. While he was throwing every thing he had at a pace he couldn't maintain, he wasn't easy to counter. So even though he wasn't connecting with much, he was stopping a lot of Floyd's offense. The best execution of this was the first 5 rounds and he lost 3 of them on 2 judges scorecards. The strategy was also significantly enhanced by the amount of fouls that Maidana got away with.

Manny doesn't foul. He also doesn't fight on the inside. He's in and out so even if he was able to cut Floyd off and plant him on the ropes, he would let him off as soon as he backed up. Because he doesn't fight on the inside, Floyd can get counters off easier and at any time instigate an inside fight to back Pac up. At any rate Floyd may be more vulnerable on the ropes, but he isn't exactly vulnerable.

The more I think about it, foot work is really the key to this fight. Pac's challenge is using foot work to get safely in and out of punching range, which is very difficult. Floyds challenge is to stay ahead of Pac and use his footwork to get into countering positions, something he always does and makes it look easy. I think we will see Pac following Mayweather around the ring like he did a lot against Algieri and it will be an easy night for Floyd.

I didn't say he over-extended, I said he got caught because he lead with his face. Something he does often because of the way he throws combinations. I've seen Pacquiao raise both feet off the canvas when throwing a combination for crying out loud!! That is absolutely terrible technique. If JMM had a great check hook, he would have sparked Pacquiao earlier in my opinion.

You guys seriously don't get it: Manny's greatest strength, is also his most glaring weakness. When you throw 3-4+ punch combinations, you are leaving yourself open and possibly off-balance depending on where your feet end up. Pacquiao's ATG speed, allows him to do this. He'll dart in, and dart out before the opponent can really react. Some of you actually believe Mayweather throws one punch at a time because "he's not a good combination puncher." Bull****. Mayweather is "defensively responsible," and knows when you throw a 4 punch combination, you're open for counters. You have to pick your spots. Floyd is not interested in "trading punches."

Floyd is an entirely different animal. Speed is not going to bail Pacquiao out this time around, as it will be a non-factor in the bout. No man will have a significant speed advantage. Pacquiao is going to get caught consistently trying to come in and out. Just watch on May 2nd. People are going to be in for a shock.

People seem to forget this about Pacquiao. Manny doesn't have an inside game to speak of. He's a mid-range fighter.

Pacquiao is going to have to find a way to close distance and get in his range. Mayweather will pick Manny off on the outside with his 5 inch reach advantage. I have no doubt Mayweather will dip and smother Pacquiao when he tries to dart in. He'll know Manny can't fight on the inside, and he'll throw in those Mayweather digs to the body when they are tied up.

I see him wearing Pacquiao down. By the 2nd half of the fight, Pac will have slowed down both physically and most importantly, mentally. That's when Floyd pulls away on the cards.

Go watch the video. He didn't lead with his face either. He was vertical balanced, his chin was behind is right knee(the definition of not leading with your face if you ever ****ing boxed in your life which we know isnt' true) and his right shoulder.

I watched video of the knockout before I made my first post because I knew some dumb**** would bring it up. And I'm not surprised that you are the dumb****.
