The retirement turned to a maybe during the post presser. So, I think he'll unify and then retire. and then hopefully he stay retired. Coming back in your forties doesn't work out unless you're George Foremen.

It makes no sense for him to retire now. The Whyte fight including the undercard was a joke. I feel sorry for anyone who had to endure that crap. After he fights Usyk/AJ then he can retire.
A week or so on. Having started to believe it.. I've swung again, no way. There's no way the big GK has sailed off into the sunset after fighting his mandatory. I think it's the opposite. He thought, I'll get this mandatory out of the way so that I don't need to fight one for a while, and sit tight for the Usyk-AJ winner. Retiring is the easiest way to do that without pressure from outside to have a tune-up or tick along fight. He notoriously hates those. The mandatory thing can't become a stopping point for that fight now and he's waiting it out, surely
Fury should fight the winner of the AJ vs Usyk fight. He'll be unified undisputed HW champ and can retire having beat the best. And yes that means if AJ wins he should fight him and not feel obligated to fight the loser. Some people will make negative noises no matter what he does but they are trolls and don't matter.
I think Fury might have to fight at least two more fights actually to cement his legacy beyond reproach. This is going to sound overly harsh, but currently his legacy wins are over the 1996 super heavy Olympic gold medalist, and a bronze medalist from 2008. Yes, he definitely needs to fight the winner of the Usyk v Joshua rematch: the best of the class of 2012. But, consider what happens IF Joe Joyce gets past Joseph Parker? You will have a consensus top 5, undefeated WBO#1, who many believe was robbed of the Gold medal at 2016 Olympics, who is also older than Fury...
