Its poor for a World title fight in a football stadium that's on a PPV.

You make it sound like Old Trafford......The stadium has a full capacity of 15,000 and only half of it is being used for the fight

I think it has allot to do with egos, money, promoter rivalries and TV rights.

Ok, but the additional costs for staging a show outdoors in a stadium mean you require a considerable amount of extra tickets to be sold. Hobson said himself they were aiming for 10,000 when the card was announced.

Ok....but the Hobson was the one who decided that this fight went on Primetime and wen't to the stadium. Your the one who keeps banging on about all promoters being the same and not caring about fans and fighters wishes.....so why is Hobson any different.

Hobson thought he could make more money putting the fight on himself, not co-promoting, and thought he could get a TV of his own. Thats why the fight is on Primetime and in the stadium.....not because its Jamie McDonnels dream.

    Based on what?

Jamie McDonnell wanted the fight in Doncaster and he got what he wanted, why is it so difficult for you to understand that. As for fans, “This is for everyone to enjoy. This is for Doncaster.” You should speak to his trainer about it, very enlightening....you know, speak, as in face to face.

    **LOL is exceptionally effeminate

Hobson is the promoter & manager, he calls the shots not matter what you, McDonnell and the trainer dream about.

It's understandable that the fight wasn't on Sky, given that McDonnell wanted it to be in Doncaster on the same night as the Burns card in Scotland, but why isn't this on BoxNation? They should be showing an event like this and other non-Frank British cards. It's a shame that McDonnell has had to go on PrimeTime because that'll provide such little exposure. There'll be more people watching live than on TV, which is probably the first time that's happened in a world title fight since 1961.

Doesn't the promoter and manager work for the fighter, I think they do.

“This is undoubtedly my dream fight at a dream venue,” McDonnell said.

“I’m over the moon to get this fight at the Keepmoat and it means everything to have this fight in Doncaster."

Lots of the D word in this article....
