Floyd would win a unanimous decision against Roberto Duran.

I absolutely don`t think PBF has SRL`s strength inside, not too mention Duran. What some people fail to get, is that Duran was a great tactician as weel as being rugged and fierce. he would take the fight to PBF inside because he would choose to do so... And I don`t give a **** what anyone says, PBF does not have the adequate firepower to get Duran off of him. Vintage, Montreal Duran. Hatton and Cotto are`nt even in the same league as Duran when it comes to phone booth warfare... Cotto ? Hatton ??? In Duran your talking about argueably one of the top if not THE top inside fighters in history ! 1980 Montreal Duran, was too much animal for PBF. Do you realize what kind of war could make it ? Does anyone really think that PBF has the stomach for THAT kind of fight ???

This is not as much about not respecting PBF, one of the slickest defensive and all arounf fighters for the ages. But more about what a dominant force Duran was and what a very underated boxer he was as well... If PBF can`t keep Duran off of him, and he won`t,not enough forepower. Whats he going to do, outhustle Durananimal ?

Oh yes the invincible Montreal Duran. He'd beat every boxer ever on one night!

Duran was awarded the decision over Leonard, not due to any talent Duran had, but due to the fact that Leonard was willing to fight Duran's fight. The thing is he barely won. Go watch it. It's probbly on you tube. The fight could have been scored either way. When Leonard didn't play Duran's games we saw the result.

The one thing Mayweather dose not do is play someone else's game. He's at his best when being pressured. If he has too he can take the attack to Duran. Do you really think Duran is going to out box Mayweather from the back foot?

Do you really think that Mayweather who never looses his cool is going to panic?

Duran may be the best pressure fighter ever (I say it's Armstrong), but he's a pressure fighter and now matter how good he is as one. That makes him limited. Even considering his very good but overrated defense. There is nothing he can do that Mayweather can't solve.

Brilliant ! Duran had nothing to do with SRL fighting off the ropes ??? You think the PBF has the fortitude to fight through what Duran would bring ? It has NOTHING to do with losing his cool . Duran would push him to the ropes because he can ! Did you ever think that if Castillo could make it hard for PBF, twice. that 147 lbs of Duran could make it difficult as well ? Don`t have to watch it on youtube, saw it when it happened and many times after. Duran`s defense overated ? Like PBF`s heart is and beating true talented in their prime 147lbs is as well..

good post mate. Everyone always says that duran is a real bad style match up for floyd, when in all honesty it isn't that bad. Floyd is one of the best back foot boxers of all time, therefore why does him boxing of the back foot become a problem all of a sudden?

I'd still slightly favour Duran in a 15 rounder but 12 rounds I'd say it's a 50-50. I'd also pick Pea to school Duran 117-111 style UD.

Duran would chase the **** of the stage at the weigh in:deal

No way does a on the ropes pot shotter survive 15 rounds with the one & only true "High Priest of Violence":bart

Duran too good a technician, far to savvy & even has a better defence, only a ****in ****** could pick mayweather who's never fought any ****er of note & made a very lucrative career out of it. Duran's the full package, too fast, too slick & too violent for the likes of this HBO con artist who's not even got the stones to fight a midgit.

Only a know ****-all ignorant ***** would make a statement that SRL fought the wrong fight in Montreal as that just proves that they know **** all about SRL or boxing & have only garnered such tit bits from old recycled 80's mags that quoated Dundee's damage limitation exercise well after the event so as not too concede that SRL had been outboxed/out sped/out thought & out fought & if SRL could'nt beat Duran as a young prime P4P king then you've got to be some useless dumb bag of SHYTE to even consider the likes of this HBO creation standing any chance at beating the man who beat the man.......wankers:deal

Both need to join "Front Runners Anonymous" and admit that they have a problem.

Duran hurt Leonard in Montreal pretty bad 4-5 times. Ray Leonard had great heart and courage and one helluva chin. He needed all of it that night to survive Duran.

The fight was closer on the cards that it was in reality. Could have been Ray Leonard`s Golden Boy status or the fact that the judges decided to score an uncommon # of even rounds.

Anyone that doesnt have an axe to gind with Duran would acknowledge it was one of the great performances in ring history. He did something that Benitez couldnt do. Something that Hearns couldnt do. Something that even Hagler didnt do.

He kicked Sugar Ray Leonard`s ass.

Dundee was a great producer of excuses for his fighters. God Bless him. I loved the guy but he probably had Ali ahead at the time Holmse stopped him.

With that said Ray Leonard had no choice that night in Montreal. He wasnt fighting Duran he was busy fighting Duran off of him. Its a simple truth.
