I must Agree with Stevie G in that Conteh did indeed possess very good power, when he let it go, the left hook that Dropped Hutchins, or the Right hand that flattened Leo Rogers were not love taps, there are other examples, but Conteh was usually doing damage with fast combinations, Virgil was a very neat boxer, but i would be a bit concerned for him if he should start to frustrate John a little, because thats when John can go a little "Street" with careless headwork in amongst the combinations, i think Virgil can hold his own when it stays a boxing match, but there would come a time i fear when, perhaps with a bit of "Stokeing" from ex Docker George Francis, Conteh goes a Little bit Industrial with Virgil when he gets him against the ropes, Virgil may i think stay on his bike to the final bell - I remember Chris Finnegan outboxing a reserved Conteh for five rounds in the Rematch, in the six round Conteh went "Jungle Cat" as one paper called it, Finnegans head was a crimson mask of blood, Conteh was very fast to switch to offense mode, it was only So-Mo replays showed Contehs, careless headwork (Again) with the Finnegan camp Showing Finnegans cut to be Above and behind the ear... Lonnie Bennet also got his eye unzipped against Conteh, it was the usual Situation, a big Punch from Conteh Lands, and instantly Conteh was on him and not too careful what went with the punches....Virgil always Seemed to be a gentleman and i'm not too sure he would be able to fully deal with this mix of Cultured boxing and "Jungle-Cat" ferocity, should the blood flow.

Hill was no better than Finnegan, best for best....in fact looking at the way he needed Maske to freeze and do nothing for the first 2-3 rounds to edge that one out, i'd pick Finnegan over him, far more dynamic in a similar style to maske.

I'd pick Lonnie Bennett( a weak chinned huge punching Hearns\Foster type who had a very brief prime at 175 due to weightmaking, but was a real force) and especially Ahumada to whip him as well.

Conteh might have wasted his talent and not had enough love for the game, but it would take a better fighter than Hill to take advantage of it.
