That's bull****. NOBODY would say anything if Vitali didn't seek out a retired guy in his 40's.

He would only get **** for not trying to avenge a loss when the other guy is still active..... like Byrd any time after 2000 for example. :yep

I give credit for the Toney win.

    I asked him

A: how many Glass Jaw Roy fought

    B: how many he beat

My point was not proven "wrong" those were the questions I asked.

The answer according to you is 1.

I do appreciate your answer though. :good

Indeed he did. I never claimed otherwise. What's your point? I agree that Peter is a joke.

So that's one definitely off the list of possible "legit" champs that Vitali has beaten. Is there anyone left on that list?

So what are you trying to say about Vitali? (this thread is about Vitali's resume in case you had forgotten :yep)

...that Roy has fougnt hardly any legit champs, but Vitali has fought even LESS? :patsch :lol:

    Your question.

    My answer.

Tarver and Toney are two names. Want a third one too?, Joe Calzaghe.

And I appreciate your question. :good

I agree with you. Its not a fight That most want to see. obviously it was a part of his boxing career that feels unfinished to him.

I dont see it happening. At this point its all talk. Once Wlad fights and beats Povetkin, Im sure we will find out what the brothers have planned for 2009

You brought up Glass Jaw Roy saying he had beat something like 19 former "champions". I showed you that was complete and utter bull****.

If you don't want to discuss such things don't bring them up in a thread about King Vitali Klitschko.

    :hi:

If a legend like Roy Jones with all his accomplishments and rare abilities is being insulted to death and called names like "Cherry picker" and "Glass jaw" with complete disrespect then how do you even consider yourself a boxing fan?, if boxing as a whole recognizes RJJ as an ATG and one of the greatest of this generation with abilities hardly seen before then why are you a part of this sport?

It must be insulting for you to watch a sport which admits this guy is a legend with insane skills in his best days. Watch something else then if what boxing approves of is rubbish to you. RJJ wasn't just considered a great boxer but a great ATHLETE. Yet here you are calling him names like he's a bum or something out of pure blind disrespectful hate and NOTHING else.

The doors to UFC are always open and Kimbo Slice is ready to rumble.

    Scar,

my point was I did not know and you answered. He has not yet fought Calzaghe. Roy has beat 1 legit champion. Compare that to other ATG's.

I was more interested in wins and not just fighting as people often bash Vitali for "fighting" Lewis and losing.

I was not being a smart ass as I did not know and again I thank you for the answer and participation. :good

You do notice that Roy Jones fought champions his entire career whatever division he stepped in, right?

It's like you're coming here and blaming Roy Jones for not inventing a linear champion and fighting him. It's not his problem the light heavyweight division was wide open, it's not his problem the Middleweight division was wide open and it's also not his problem the super middleweight division HAD a linear champion. What was proven is that if there WAS a linear champion, he took him on. If there are none then there is a process called fighting and cleaning out, that's what he did and made his self the linear champion. Also, the Calzaghe fight is only weeks away and he already signed to fight him, meaning the guy will fight if there's someone on top as he proved already by beating champions and only champions at Light heavyweight if not high ranked contenders.

And I appreciate the mature response. :thumbsup

So VK's a cherry picker then? What about David Haye? He's been cherry picking the HW's since he stepped up, except he's yet to actually fight anyone but Tomaz Bonehead............

Samuel Peter was the recognized #2 Heavyweight in the World behind Wladimir when Vitali made him quit. How exactly is that cherry picking?
