a copy and paste from an american site where they predicted the outcome. of course hindsight is a wonderfull thing and i was not sure myself how much ring rust vitali would bring into the ring with him. Vitali Klitschko vs. Sam Peter Eileen Teran Sam Peter looks like he is not messing around even though he has to mess around with Wladimir Klitchko's brother, Vitali. I'm guessing the 4-year lay off and the age factor is going to work against Vitali, plus the fact that Peter seems to be all business. I'm guessing Peter's going to be able to knock him out early, say in the 3rd round. Dan Hernandez I'm pulling for Peter. Younger, stronger, ACTIVE! Klitschko was an excellent boxer and puncher, however he has been inactive too long, if he wins it would have to be an early round knockout. Peter seems to be one of the best we have right now and is very strong. My choice: Peter. Daniel Tex Cohen This fight won't go the distance. Klitschko's Tyson Index factor is 52% while Peter's is 44%. Under normal circumstances, that's a sixth round knockout. This fight, however, is volatile; Klitschko has been out of the ring for a long time, Peter has looked a little better lately and these guys might both protect their faces carefully. Could be a good fight. Expect the younger, faster Peter to take the day, maybe on cuts, somewhere near the middle of the fight. Bad Brad Berkwitt Samuel Peter by TKO in 3. I think it's a total joke that Klitschko after almost four years of not fighting, gets a title shot. Mike Withers Klitschko is a really tough fighter, but four years is a long time to be out of the ring and Samuel Peter is not the type of you can just knock off the rust against. Peter gets better with every fight. Im picking the Nigerian Nightmare by Unanimous Decision. Gene Ramirez Vitali is coming off a long layoff. Is he the same fighter? Can he hold his own against a hard hitter like Peter? My guess is no. Peter has had some trouble with taller guys but I think that he will be able to get to Klitschko and put him on his back. Peter by KO in round number 8. Russ Greenspan Sam Peter is younger and fresher than Dr. Iron Fist, who's not seen ring action for roughly 4 years. Vitali's always going to be dangerous, but his age and rust will likely be the story here. Peter by decision. Roger T. Tubajiki In Berlin, Germany, I think Samuel Peter stands a chance to win in the second half of the fight. Still, I pick Vitali Dr. Ironfist Klitschko to win this bout by stoppage in round 5. Jose Antonio Rivera I think Samuel Peter will be able to defend his crown with a unanimous decision. Geno McGahee As limited as Sam Peter is, I still can't see him losing to Vitali Klitschko after four years on the shelf. He has to be rusty and with those swooping bombs coming at him early, he may not be able to fend them off, which is my guess. Sam Peter TKO 2 over Vitali Klitschko, forcing him to retire for real this time. Mike Plunkett Peter bludgeons Lurch before the end of the fourth, and I'm giving Klitschko the benefit of the doubt here by not predicting another quit job like in the Byrd fight. Antonio Santiago Peter by unanimous decision. Peter The Emperor Stitt Vitali and Sam Peter is a nightmare to call because we have absolutely no idea how much Klitschko has left physically, how much he really wants it, hell we really don't fully know how good Peter might be. Given that almost complete ignorance of facts, I revert to the old adage that it is very difficult to come back and it has been four years since Vitali fought Danny Williams. That's a long time out of the ring whilst Peter has been fighting (though it's not always been pretty) and winning. Going out on a limb here I reckon Klitschko is going to get in there and find he doesn't really want to be there and thus prompt a retirement, probably after the 5th round. If Vitali just goes in there and blitzes Peter, however, I won't be surprised either. Brian Wilbur The Vitali Klitschko circa 2003 would have beaten Sam Peter with ease. The moderate success that Oleg Maskaev had against Peter concerns me. I say that Klitschko shows up in decent shape and shoots straight missiles down the shoot to win by 6th round KO and reclaim his title. George Diaz Smith Peter hesitates if things dont go his way, and we arent seeing an active Vitali, so this should be going down in the annuals as either a forgettable fight, or a memorable one, but regrettable wouldn't surprise anyone. Vitali Klitschko can be a dangerous guy fighting with something to prove. Klitschko might not have been seen as a force in awhile, however, stands a lot to gain by winning. You have special supervisors in the fight. Houcine Houichi, president of the African Boxing Union ABU, and president Edmund Lipinski covering the Boxing Bureau of the Russian board. The referee this night will be Massimo Barroveccio from Italy, and the judges will be Ken Morita (Japan), John Keane (Great Britain), and Anek Hongtongkam (Thailand). Im persuaded by the psychological advantages working at hand for Vitali, and if he meets his maximum physical requirement, can TKO Peter in the fifth. Scott Ring Rat Hendrix Vitali is coming off the sidelines to face one hell of a heavy-handed, offensive minded fighter in Sam Peter. This can't favor Klitschko. First of all getting hit takes some time to get adjusted to, and second not getting hit takes a bit time as well, jumping head first into a lake and forgetting how to swim can be dangerous. Peter might have a few shaky moments early as he maneuvers to get in range, but once Sam lands his heavy artillery, Vitali will likely be looking for a soft spot in the canvas. Peter should win this inside the distance. Final Tally Sam Peter - 13 Vitali Klitschko - 3
Your the one using words "Vitali" and "ATG". I have not noticed 1 thread from a Klitschko fan saying that Vitali is now an ATG
Hold on a minute, he comes back after four years at 37 and completely dominates a younger big punching champion that had never been stopped. Mmm:huh Who else in HW history has ever done that? His record speaks for itself. If he hadn't been cut in Lewis fight nobody would be arguing, but he's back and will dominate for another two years at least. That is ATG.:happy
in 99 toney was a cruiserweight who was fighting nobodys in 99 holyfield was clearly past his best lost 2 times to lewis and was givin a draw in 1 in 99 rahman was ko'd 2 times that year why would he have wanted to fight vit in 99 tua would have been the only worthy opponet in 99 mcall fought one time it was a no contest against a dude with 16-12 record why would he have fought him in 99 golota only remotly good person he fought ko'd him again why would vitali waste the time all this and i say again david haye is scared to fight these guys now 10 yrs later almost 20 yrs after most of their prime
So you are saying that Ismael Youla, Ed Mahone and Obed Sullivan were better fights then? Ok then :good
James Toney? Get the **** out Tua? so what? Holyfield? Brain Damaged since 99 McCall? Are you ****ing kidding? After breaking down crying? Golota? Love him, but a total headcase who didn't earn a title shot. Vitali fought his mandatories, and stepped up to fight the best fighter of our generation and made a good acount of himself. Vitali just came out of retirement and DESTROYED the supposed most dangerous fighter outside of his brother, so hate him all you like, he is clearly the #1 or #2 HW in the world.
