He's beatable but extremely hard mainly due to his huge size, awkwardness, underrated lean-back style of defense and, his will and great chin. I don't give Haye a snowball's chance in hell here. Tua could pull a win here but I dunno if I'd bet on him. I don't think Chambers has enough pop to get Vitali's respect and I don't think he has the size to to outbox a 6'7 guy. As for the Kingpin, from a defensive pov, I think he looked pretty good in there vs Vitali. Going the distance with Vitali is a feat in itself, even at this stage of the older bother's age and career. If only Johnson had some good offense that fight would have been very very competitive. Johnson has pretty good size himself but he totally lacks an offensive mentality and I honestly think he was intimidated by Klitschko. Unlike Wlad, Vitali is a guy who can cause fear and intimidation in his opponents.
David Tua wants NOTHING to do with V.K. in the ring........ V.K. pumps his jab into Tua's face all fight long and keeps him at bay and off key with his underrated lateral movement.... After Tua eats a few right-cross' from V.K. during the early rds, Tua loses interest in trying to win and merely looks to go 12 rds on his feet....... 'Nuff said..... MR.BILL
I agree. I would pick Vitali to beat Vlad if there were to fight, but they will never fight each other and made that extremely clear at the inception.
I don't want them to fight but if they did I can completely see Wlad going in ready to take it easy on his big brother until Vitali's mean streak dumps him on his ass. At which point, Wlad will go ''I should have known. This is why mom likes me best."
Until they fight, we don't even know who the best hevyweight is. If neither can make an undisputed claim as the best heavyweight of their era, NEITHER can be cosndiered a great. Keith
Keith, we've been through this. We disagree. Rehash all you like. I'm uninterested in anything further on this subject with you other than agreeing to disagree, my man.
Although Vitali has obviously fallen a fair way from his prime (and looked very sloppy offensively in his last outing) he has the natural physical traits and also the ring smarts (he is cleverer than given credit for) to not lose to anyone other than his brother anytime soon, and they won't be fighting.
Wlad would beat Vitali. Wlad is more fast, more accurate punches. Wlad is too fast for Vitali and Wladimir´s Jab would destroy Vitali.
Yeah, that's bull****............... If Wlad' chin even spots Vitali glaring at it it'll crack into pieces........ MR.BILL:deal
Vitali is old and he looked it last fight but also despite a poor showing he won every round as all the other guy ran. Johnson did little in the way to prove Vitali is beatable as he did little in the way of trying to win and his goal seemed to make it 12 rounds which he succeeded in doing. I think it will help Wlads career because Vitali is taking away his thunder especially this last year with Vitali fighting 3 times and Wlad only once. I still dont believe there is anyone out there that can beat Vitali including Haye and Adamek but at some point he has to retire.
I'm one of the biggest Klitschko fans around but his foot work and punches in his last fight were not all there. He did not move great or set his feet good to punch at all. Much can be placed on Johnson but he did have problems with Cris and Gomez even made him look awkward at times. I feel his pop is diminishing a little. I mean granted he was not the best one punch KO guy Wlad has one punch pop Vitali tends to be the accumulation puncher. Many of his stops coming in 8 or more. Though he has one punch KO'd Norris in 1 and got Johnson and Hide out in 2. I feel like he mostly due to knee and back injuries is losing foot work and pop. Not saying he can be beat by anybody right now he is too crafty and has a big chin and great stamina one thing that he has that nobody else has in the division. All 3 things many fighters have one or two but you need all three to win. I want to see him retire on top and does not need boxing anymore. However he showed amazing skill defensivley and offensivley vs Areolla Gomez and Peter especially showing off that punch arsenal.
